MSR, I purchased my 10-345 in the mid 2000's. The original motor was designed on the cheap with respect to having a start cap and a run cap. The original motor came with a compromise using a single cap. The motor will not start without the cap and yet the specs on the cap is more accurate for a run cap. Rikon was good and sent me a cap for free which I have installed and it works for now. I know for sure that it will not last if I get into using it as I'm retired now. What configuration of motor do you have on your 10-345?

can these be wired to 115V ?

@@ashutoshsrivastava303 a lot of them can. Rikon and jet both offer bandsaws that come in 115v I’m not sure about this saw. Some saws come with a wiring diagram on the motor letting you know you can.

Hi any idea on a motor replacement for this saw mine is actually the 10-340

Actually Rikon has a great customer service and I bet you could source a motor through them. Maybe order a motor from a larger machine and retrofit it. I can’t imagine the mounts being much different

Hi I just got this saw but it came with no fence. I’m interested in the kreg fence but it says it’s for a 14”. Which kreg fence did you use ? Thanks

The fence I used wasn’t specifically for a bandsaw. It was just the angled part and I mounted it to the face of my existing one.
