My family was one of the families moved out by the government. I spend most of my free time between the rivers and there are a LOT of interesting little places of the beaten path over there. Great video. Thanks for posting it.

How is the road in to that place (route 120)? How far do you think an impala can go down it?

Nice job! They’re intriguing those old abandoned buildings. I’ve found that the old locals in the area know where they are, as well as the local postman.

This place has found a spot in my top five places that I’ve gone to on this channel. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I was with my dad and brother out exploring!

The Graffiti is a good indication the property is not "Hidden"

Ok now an actual question. How is the road in? How far do you think we can drive a sedan down that road? We are from southern illinois and want to check it out (3 hour drive for us)

I’d say you can get fairly close driving in. The roads are not too bad. I would just drive slow. I drove my Honda CRV down there with no problems. The walk is only about a half of a mile. Good luck!

They flooded whole towns and evicted everyone. Apparently this guy fought them a bit. Too bad he didn’t win because it is a lovely site for a house!

Such a shame, it must have been fabulous when it was lived in.
