His style was very unique, which I'm sure he developed over time. Some of his earliest performances are much different from the later ones in as far as his delivery, vocal cadence, and overall presentation at the mic. I love how he never used contractions with his words. It was never, "I don't have...", it was "I do not have..." And while I'm aware of his shyness and stage fright, I think he also used that to effect as he evolved as a comic. Just a brilliant performer who is greatly missed.
@ShelterDogs6 жыл бұрын
That's a very astute observation. In copywriting, they actually recommend you write it as "I'm" instead of "I am" because it feels more "real" to the reader. Like you're speaking to them as you would in life. I feel like this applies to stand-up, too, but Hedburg gets away with it.

Part of the funny is how he never really kills, yet he’s my favorite

For a shy person with a stage freight , he looks so cool, charming and personable. I love watching video with him or Patrice O'neal but then I remember, they both are gone too soon and it bums me out. It is always a bitter-sweet experience now watching a stand-up of either comedian. RIP to both.

The audience, the host, the band, the other guests....they all enjoyed his standup. The interview afterward was golden. Cheers to Mike Bullard, he genuinely enjoyed every second of having Mitch on the show and Mitch looks at times like he felt everyone was really digging him. Great TV appearance.

The host was so jealous of that fabulous rock star hair. As am I. Lol.

Naaawww... Mike was a nice host. He giggled at every little think that Mitch said. He was delighted to have him on and he gave him good “face”... promoted his movie... I miss Mitch. You just want to hug him and to fix him🥺🥺🥺🤷♀️❣️

His delivery is priceless. I’m glad youtube brought him to me a few years ago ✌️🤗 I haven’t seen this one yet, A lot of the stuff I’ve seen is mostly the same jokes repeating but still very funny 😆🤗🤗

This man was so uniquely funny. He had a singular style that was very effective. Terribly unfortunate that he suffered from insecurity. RIP MH 🙏

Funny as can be! Straight from MN, but beyond. This guy was brilliant.

I was sad when he died...not shocked, but sad, still am. His jokes were so perfect, SO deadpan, just perfect for him. Another comedian trying to do his material would get booed off the stage.

I remember the 1st time I saw this guy on TV.....he was not a tree. And then he was gone forever. Now I scour KZbin for his comedy on occasion to remind myself of how great he was because I don't want to forget. I hope he is at peace and that the demons of addiction no longer pursue him.

Littlegirllost. This one of my favorite comments here because it epitomizes how I feel about Mitch. I admit I am obsessed with Mitch The guys in my band get tired of me telling his jokes. What can I say, he’s my favorite comedian!
