@@tylerandleahcanadian3888 did you miss the vote? At your suggestion, we decided that his style of comedy should be unique to him alone and “you’re being very Mitch hedbergie” is the correct and only way to describe the genius thoughts that mitchs brain blessed us with. Anyone can have an observational, dry wit utilizing deadpan humor, but there is only one hedberg and it’s blasphemy to use preexisting categories when trying to explain to others what style of comedy he utilized. “You’re being very Mitch hedbergie” transcends genres and categories. It is one of the top honors that can be bestowed upon a fellow comedian as well as forcing anyone who hasn’t heard his flawless acts to look him up and learn. Plus then we get to use “very Mitch hedbergie” in everyday conversations which makes me laugh. All in favor? Sustained. It only needs three yays. Overruled. Tyler, Leah and I are in agreement. I’ve been led to believe all Canadians as well? But I await confirmation from rocky and bullwinkle

I never understood why he needed to be “gotten”. His delivery was amazing for the jokes that he was telling. I think that it was the lack of him ever really narrating a story or point of view of any kind that might have turned some people off at first. His jokes were good, and his delivery was fantastic but his style was a bit unconventional...which certainly isn’t a bad thing. It’s a shame that he’s dead. I remember sitting around in my basement/living room/whatever you’d call it with corn dogs, magazines and books I’d read countless times already, and having him to laugh at during the night alone. And this old gas heater that I’d light with matches. Mitch Hedburg and Dave Chapelle were the last two comedians that I’d truly gotten into.

I have only just discovered Mitch Hedberg literally in the last couple of days and he is AWESOME I love his sense of humor. It's very sad he's gone. He was very unique and despite his stoner persona his mind was razor sharp. RIP Mitch you were cool.

I worked on Los Enchiladas. Got my first screen credit on that movie. I still have some newspaper clippings and paperwork from the production tucked away in a book somewhere. All these years later, it's still sad to think what could've been with Hedberg. He was an icon.

A buddy turned me onto him back in like '01 He told me to listen to his set twice . . I get that. The first time he was just so unique and not the usual rapid fire bits from other very popular comedians at the time. I wasn't really super into him. But I took his advice. The more I heard him the more I liked him. He simply grows on you, and sometimes you even 'get' the jokes a bit more when you hear them again. Cool guy, unique and creative.

Jerry is a sit com story telling comic. Mitch was a comic genius, being able to make you think and once he says something you think how’d I not notice that. It was like he saw the world in a parallel dimension.

I remember him back in the 90s, he was and is great. His delivery style, ironically a byproduct of his stage fright, is what made him so unique. His humor was in the Steven Wright twisted observation mode, which made him awesome.
