Apparently the latest patch has buffed Sturgian soldiers, and given them round shields. Not likely to see them on your play through considering they are all dead.

The stats on troops are more important as it effects strength I think and contributes to "send troops" battles which determines AI strength. They also buffed noble retinues that make them even stronger. Because of this snowballing got even worse as we have stronger kingdoms now. So the kingdoms that get focused down by 2 or 3 others die off instantly. In my new game Vlandia and Sturgia made peace instantly and went after the empires. By the time I reached clan tier 3 there were only 3-4 empire cities left and the western empire was completely erased.

@@ESOdanny think the more important part with the shields is the grade increase on shields as they rank up, before they pretty much always had trash teir shields with little health, now the shield lines should hold for longer by virtue of the shields themselves holding longer

I dunno my strategy is usually lots of horse archers and can plus a relatively small line of infantry and regular archers to mop up the remainders. Horse archers are great at forcing your enemy to push, and if you get your can to follow you and do targeted charges on archers and from flanks you can do tons of damage very quickly.

Hi Danny, if you don't want to lose so many men while taking castles or towns. The trick is to build 4 trebs, everytime a treb finishes, you put it in reserve so the catapults or balista's on the walls can't hit them. When all 4 trebs are ready in reserve, you pause the game, click them all back on. Then you destroy their defense and their walls! Then when you lead an assault, your men will storm in with minimum losses, and you can ride in on your horse. Just beware that you can only run up stairs with a horse going backwards in bannerlord. Really, I think you should try it. I take towns this way who outnumber me 4 to 1 and I only lose a few ppl at max.

If you think your archers will be charged by cavalry then have a unit of pikemen added to the archer pool grouping. That way, if cavalry do charge your archers, there are a number of pikemen automatically grouped to offer protection. Obviously you'd need to train up a special group of pikemen that are a different sort from any other spearmen that you use as part of normal infantry. Right now in my current playthrough I have about 24 archers / crossbow and 12 Vlandian pikemen (some of them are Voulgier) all within default group 2. If cavalry breaks through to them, they will get poked. Of course while archers will die, it is about making the meat bill for the other cavalry expensive.

I use the Pincer tactic it work super well with Kruzait + Battania army archer slowly advancing in the middle. Calvary flanking left Horse Archer right and all horse form in the rear cover the retreat. No escape. hail of arrows with hammer and anvil.

I had an epic siege yesterday. It was only a lvl 1 wall castle so i broke down the walls with siege engines. The epic part was rushing the wall in my mount and spear the garrison wiht my lance :)

When facing a garnison it's best to make your horsemen follow you and set yourself behind the enemy once they're within arrow range. If they advance you can attack the archers from behind. If they face you they'll turn their backs to your archers. This only works if the garnison attacks you since their ai is different

just pur infantry is a square 30m infront of a big line of archers. as the enemy wraps around ur square, ur archers just murder all enemy with arrows to the back. 100 men can easily beat 400 this way on real damage difficulty

Joseph Vetter what’s happening there is they are stripping troop out of garrisons so it’s better that they keep coming back as their forces are mainly recruits and it’s easier to kill them outside of the city’s and then you only have the militia in the cities to deal with. but you can also prevent this by immediately after capturing an enemy’s noble either execute (bad for rep) or put them in the dungeon of your city that has near max garrison then they can escape

As of now, no. There is a perk from the Tactics skill that allows you to position your troops before the battle begins, but I don't think it is working in the current version of the game.

I managed to rank up my trading skill to 225 to unlock "everything has a price" skill and it allows me to trade fiefs, but it was broken and you could get every castle in the game for free. Halo Hill no it’s fixed now. Costs between 150k to 450k to buy cities. I have a save named “buy the world” where I’ve purchased about 5 full cities that way thus far, can confirm it works now.

Not in current state. Just not enough content to justify paying so much for less experiences than you get from M&B Warband. Factions can easily snowball, theres little to no diplomacy in this game, war cannot be declared, instead is randomly declared by the game itself. There is only one character in this entire game currently with voice lines, Istiana, and her voice lines are barely touched, where she'll say the first 5 words of a sentence then stop in silence for the rest of the paragraph... Not to mention that Telltales didnt even bother finishing the main story quest so you'll have only one objective in this game. Fight the army, take the settlement. You cannot get rid of a faction/clan permanently, a random character will spawn in or as a new clan in that faction forcing you into an endless loop of trying to exterminate a family that endlessly reproduces... etc. Alot of issues in current state of the game that people dont cover.

Yes, game isnt finished. But its fun anyway. Rocket Man is right, there are many issues with this game. But at least, u can destroy factions. I joined Battania in a critical moment. They were almost destroyed by Vlandia and we had a great comeback. My ruler is an absolute idiot, but this is what happens in history, right?^^ If u want a perfect game with a deep mainquest, dont buy it. But if u have fun with big battles and a "conquer the world" campaign, u will have fun endless hours. Sry for my bad english. Have a nice day

Far as I know, up to this point the only thing the patches have covered are bug fixes and stat adjustments. No new content up to this point, apart from what modders have been accomplishing. We wont be seeing "new" content for months... Or if at all

It looks so nice how a poorly developed strategist shows what he can do. let the battle of 500 vs 1000 and let his losses not exceed 10 killed I think that he learned something by playing. easy recruitment and not realistic is a lot easier. Especially since killing the nobles, recruitment in their area is practically impossible. I was waiting for some big battle with other factions and I attacked those who won because they had a lot of prisoners or potential recruits.

Isn't that because you're plying on Normal AI difficulty? Playing it on Vet or Challenging, the AI actually knows how to split formation against incoming flanks

@@ESOdanny if you tell your units to face direction and point in the general direction of the main force this will stop them from focusing the nearest threat. That is their intended behavior when in the face enemy command. kinda illogical but you have to tell them to face a specific direction if you want them to focus a particular group.

So your title makes it seem like something big was added in the most recent patch which is not the case at all, hence why it seems like click bait. Given how buggy the game has been, I would still give you the benefit of the doubt that it hadn't shown up till now. Though you should still change the title..

How old is this recording? You claim this was added in the latest patch, but I completed those quests several weeks ago when I beat the game for the first time. When you finish those three quests you get a "Victory!" prompt.
