Chicago is one of my favourite bands of all time. They have the melodies that weak my knees, they have the virtuosic musicianship that bring tears to my eyes. Seriously, no one else that I’ve listened to can bring a group of people together and have them be equally talented in both vocal & instrumental ability.

had the honor of seeing Peter Cetera in concert a couple weeks ago.August 12 2017. At 71 he still is touring and is still one of the greatest voices in Rock!!
@RCGoetzke7 жыл бұрын
Actually, Cetera will turn 73 in a month. He's aged very well for a 1960s-1980s rock and roller, probably because he morphed into a laid-back lounge crooner many years ago.
@dfgall7 жыл бұрын
i don't know if lounge crooner is a meant to be a dig or what but we saw him last year in pompano. he is still the voice and no 3rd or 4th replacement can change that. loved all the chicago stuff he did. if you ask me youtube is a killer for current Chicago since people can see what it really was
@RCGoetzke7 жыл бұрын
Not really a "dig", as I was a huge Chicago fan with a particular admiration of Cetera as a killer bassist and unique vocalist. I thought that he could have been so much better as a rock and roller after he left Chicago when he was still young enough to be so.

I am, but it wasn't XIV. It was in support of 13. It may have been broadcast in early '80 (I thought it was in the fall of '79) but XIV wasn't released until the dog days of late Summer 1980. Thank you for posting this concert. A band in transition. Donnie Dacus was caught up in an impossible situation. He was booted after this tour, which is actually the fall of 1979 in support of Chicago 13, a release that faced the same nearly impossible task of living up to the standard the band had set for themselves earlier in the decade. The album and the guitarist never had a fair shot, and both were not as bad as history suggests.

That's "Dacus". Yes, he had lots of energy and is definitely talented.
