Ryan Essex Have you seen United’s Polaris product?
@Shadowfax-19806 жыл бұрын
I flew on United Polaris last summer and Delta One a month ago and I think Polaris had a definite edge. However, the United was on a 777 that seemed to have a new cabin whereas the Delta was an A330 and seemed to have an older cabin. I also felt that the United service was a little better even though it was only a cross country trip while the Delta was an international flight. It might be that United is trying to work harder in order to make up for all the bad publicity they’ve had. This is just my personal experience and I didn’t have the benefit of a door to enclose the suite on either. All this being said, my usual preference is Delta because they have the most convenient flights from where I live.

AvTraveller Nooooo! NO!! NO!!! BIG NO NO TO AMANDEUCE & LUXURY TRAVEL... I'm of a Sam Chui kind of Fan - What's the use of me watching Airline Inflight Service review videos if I don't get to see the Cabin Crew and the Passengers Load Factor??? And there's ONLY 2 reviewers that I know certainly make an effort to show that... Sam Chui and Flight Travels.... But Amandeuce and Luxury Travel NEVER show the Crew at service or Passenger cabin loads... I'm not here to watch a video showing me endless footage of an aircraft wing and skies from take off to landing or just seat functions and still shots of laid meals on the tray without seeing the human touch behind the service in their well groomed uniforms and smiles plus some footage of how many passengers are on board in their seats... As in we want it real mate....!!!!
@lucasdiaz99666 жыл бұрын
Sydney G they don’t, I watch they them because they either cut the take off or landing or have super long videos. Sam Chui is paid by the airlines and they equip their best crew. He sexualizes the crews and every flight is the complete opposite of what it is in reality. I used to like him but he’s just a KZbin commercial. I rather better videos with the true inflight service and better details with the crew.

Fantastic crew, very professional, pilots were extremely informative and the plane was very very comfortable for economy. A350 is a beautiful, beautiful plane. WOW! Did not expect to see that on a US Carrier. Props to them that looks like a good product. The BC seat is a pretty clever configuration when you look at it. From what I could see you have a seat touching the bulkhead and the next row it's to the otherside meaning they've actually got quite a high densification out of the Sq Ft of the cabin but you also dont feel crammed in.

Except for a short hop from Little Rock to Atlanta, my first (and only) real flight was on Delta. I was in the "cheap seats" and as a person of size, I had purchased the seat next to me... it was two, three, two configuration, so I was mostly comfortable. Even in the cheap seats the stewardess was so kind to me... came to early board me, and very discretely gave me the seat belt extender. She even offered me both meals since I paid for two tickets, but the food was so good (a steak and potato plate) and so much, I could barely eat one plate. If I had to fly again, it would always be Delta. I will never forget the kindness shown to me, especially as a person of size. I guess, my heart belongs to Delta. EDIT TO ADD: I didn't say lol.... my flight was from Atlanta to Frankfurt when I moved to Germany in 2002.

How is your Delta One experience on 757s and 767s?
@psgman416 жыл бұрын
Last time I took Delta one on a 757 was for PHL-CDG last year. My experience was good in terms of seat and blanket+pillows. Food was average as usual. Problem is you have a neighbour, but that's ok. As for Delta One on 767, my last trip was CDG-RDU. It was also very pleasant. The very best feature is definitely the seat and blankets/pillows which help get a super cosy sleep. I didnt try it on a 777. But I was also on Delta One on an airbus A330-200 for ATL-CDG last month. Seats are definitely confortable but looks very old. Everybody has an aisle, but privacy is definitely not the best. This new Delta One on the A350 is a HUGE step up for Delta. I took it twice last month (ATL-ICN and ICN-ATL). It was an amazing experience. Only complain is that the door is hard to close, hehe. But for the rest, it really seems you have twice more space as before!

@voyager13696 жыл бұрын
Elliot C I've noticed that as well. I flew Eva Air to Taiwan and all the FA's looked 25 or younger and all very model-esque. Especially, in First Class.

You see a lot of younger crews on Asian or Middle East carriers as they expanding so fast that they're hiring very often on fresh crew.

I don't know Sam. The other carriers have had pretty girls for a long time. Ever since I have been travelling - albeit mainly Asian carriers. I don't have anything against the more mature flight attendents, in fact I think it is great but they should mix and match on flights. That crew in the video - only one (guy) looked under 40.

It is, but it's not really a fair comparison because the A350 is more a direct competitor to the 777, not 787. 787 is too small. The A350 is comparable in size to a 777, the 787 is smaller.

TechLover well, seat capacity and length wise are different. B787-10 has 330 seats and A350-10 has 366 seats. B787 was made for fuel efficiency with the highest aerodynamic on its wing and the plane itself was made with carbon fiber, but A350 was made for higher seat capacity. If you wanna compare A350-10, then Compare it to b777 because it has 365 seats on the plane

Evan J I tried their 77E Y and it was amazing, the seat wasn't as bad as I thought it was back 3 years ago. The seat of course was leather, and I think it breathed fine, the only complaint was that the window seat was very hot as the flight was during the day time the entire time and the shades were closed for most of it. they treat you like a son because you are famous in the Industry. Otherwise you would be treated with a lack on hospitality. Delta has no more style and distingushied Service like in the ninties . Remember so well the international FIRST CLASS product on the MD-11 Aircraft. With the caviar and champagne Service. I loved that Northwest Airlines Girl Talking with pride About her once employer….She`s faithful . I like that.

Claus - i don't think that is true in the least. I'm a 2 million miler on Delta and just last November I boarded a flight from ATL to Milan and the purser recognized me. She came up and said, "I know you Mr. _____. You were on my flight to Amsterdam about 6 months ago! Welcome back! " This wasn't the first purser to recognize me in One class but it was special because I brought my mom along to enjoy Italy. She was blown away that the purser recognized me and we all got a photo together. I've found Delta One flight attendants to be very professional and very friendly. Much friendlier than Jet or AirFrance or AeroMexico flight attendants. But i do agree that Sam got "added benefits" because he's probably the biggest airline blogger in the world. All the airline staff are told to be on "best behavior" when he's around, as his blogs influence a lot of travelers. E.g. I would NOT have gotten two meals like they offered him. BUT...if I didn't like my meal and complained, Delta will gladly substitute it out for whatever they have left to offer. I had a Lamb "pave" on a flight last year that was of the texture of shoe leather. I sent it back and got a lovely seafood lasagna instead. Yum. I've probably sent back food about 3 or 4 times in Delta One, but that's been over 80+ flights.

To be fair, the crew didn't know me at all , but they saw me filming around and I introduced myself to them so they understood what I am doing. DL don't have a Int'l first class anymore so we have to adjust the mindset :)
@christiandiablo94996 жыл бұрын
Delta hasn't had an intl first class in over 20 years. Their ONE product -- and earlier called BusinessElite -- is more like 80% biz class and 20% first class combined (IMO). For instance, I'd much rather fly almost any other airline's intl first class, but I'd prefer Delta's biz class over any American carrier and over most European carriers. I prefer all Middle East airlines' biz class. Ditto for SingaporeAir, Etihad, and Cathay.

We just fly one from PVG-LAX last week on DPS. I have to say, we were EXTREMELY surprised at how comfortable we were, the quality and presentation of the food, and how well mannered the FA's were. We flew United's "Econ Plus" on the way over and there was a STARK difference in all of those categories from end to end. Not even close. This was my first int'l flight on Delta in quite sometime and they have really stepped their game up big time. It felt like Delta One except the chair didn't lie completely flat. United service has to be considered a Joke compared to this. Also, their FA's just seemed to annoyed and unpersonable on the way over. Deltas were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely fly that product again.

Sam Chui This is why the Asian and Middle Eastern airlines will always win best Quality and customer service awards.

it is all due to competitions i guess. If United or American don't , may be Delta won't as well ?

Remarkable product. As a frequent AC and LH Business class flyer, I'm blown away by Delta One and the attention to detail. The thought put into the meals is amazing, the Delta One compartment beats AC's hands down, not to even mention LH's old fashioned 'footsie' business class ( LH flyers know what I mean ). Thanks Sam for this fantastic video!

Flew on Delta from JFK to MPX. 767 economy. Dreadful. And the Delta lounge at JFK.... it may be ok for USA standard.. but if you travel a lot in Europe, Middle East or Asia... no comment.

cicci0salsicci0 Where the airlines are subsidized by their government? If you don’t like it, then leave.
@clausstimpfig38036 жыл бұрын
not all Asian carriers are subsidized..so stop talking about something that you have no clue of. Try Europe`s Lufthansa First class and you will experience the difference
@cicci0salsicci06 жыл бұрын
Greg Caesar I fly a lot. I fly economy most of the time. I fly Lufthansa, British, AirFrance, Emirates, Etihad, Singapore, Thai and sometimes other minor companies. Believe me, you can tell the difference. USA is good for prices, Europe is generally overpriced for what they offer, Middle East is just quality no matter what, Asia is usually about the service. At least that's my experience.

It’s not sanitary haveing Sam touching the premium select people’s plates and talking over them uh
@christiandiablo94996 жыл бұрын
How is it any less sanitary than having a FA touch the plate? And he didn't touch their food. I don't think he was talking over them. Their dinner had completed and looked like most people had noise canceling headphones on so couldn't hear him anyway.

I'm sorry this review doesn't reflect the reality of delta nor the US airline industry. Hence your a member of the media ? Of course delta will put their best foot forward to appear a world class carrier? It isn't ! delta as well the other 2 (american , united)crop dusters consistently rank well, well behind their European , Middle Eastern and Asian flag carriers ! Why seasoned world travelers stay away from US carriers today ! This review probably will not correct the customer service problems that continue to plague delta ! The United States had its pioneering world class flag carriers Pan American World Airways and Trans World Airlines !
@clausstimpfig38036 жыл бұрын
Tears came to my eyes when I was reading this. YOU ARE SO RIGHT. This guy is treated in a very Special way because the Industry knows all About him. Delta is an average carrier without any international FIRST CLASS cabin. And they offered a really good one on the MD-11. Trans World Airlines my old Company The Royal Ambassador Service thank you
@KathyBr00tal6 жыл бұрын
Every airline puts their best foot forward when they have someone like this onboard. Not everone you meet on an airline e is a terrible person. There are a couple bad eggs. Don't be so dramatic.

I'm pretty sure the captain at 2:43 meant to say "Mach 0.85", because "Mach 85" (which is 85% the speed of sound) is about 63,000 miles per hour! The Airbus A350 cruising speed is 630 mph, and can operate at a maximum of 660mph.
@tamasgerecsei94085 жыл бұрын
Guess they just dont say the "0." part as it's obvious from the context. Level 35 also doesnt mean 35 feet...
