N57D30 Engine Noise / Misfire like Sound - up in revs

N57D30 at 325000km - holding engine up in revs I can hear something similar to a misfire / tapping sound... more like a MISFIRE. Chains , Injectors, crankshaft pulley new. Sound is the same with or without accessories belt on.

Mine only does this when it's cold for the first 4 or 5 minutes, once at 90c to 100c its gone? Was this similar for you.

Did you discover the problem was it a injector?

No, noticed the sound is more pronounced if I push the car hard from lower gears but then disappears on higher gears. Could be the fuel pump but fuel pressure looks normal on the scanner. Might change the fuel pump next month just to see if that was the culprit , else the car drives fine and can't complain about it.

@@andriizimich Still , sound does not seem to come from engine , it is some other thing I believe. Changed chains , manifolds (both) , water pump etc on mine. I see yours is high mileage as mine... only thing I did not tried was to drive without AUX belt on , this would eliminate the AC kompressor and Alternator.

@@andriizimich Only thing I did not tested was the high pressure pump ... noise can come maybe from there.. will try to have a friend over and try to check if noise might come from the pump.

No, might be normal wear and tear. 15000km later same sound. Checked 2 more N57D30 and they also sound similar.

@@Ao33et38 If it was rod bearing it would have said BOOM after 20.000km :) It's not a knock , it sounds like missfire.
