Alright Gareth? I'm spot on. I love your video's that compares prices. But let's face it. People are not going to really travel between supermarkets to save money. I actually shop mostly in Lidl. I lived in Germany for just over 16 years when I was in the Army and our main shop was Lidl's. For fresh meat and fish you can't beat them for quality and price. Much the same as Aldo's. My local store is the Co-op. When I do my main shop for the week I spend about £50 at Lidl's, including pet food. If I did the same shop in the Co-op it would cost me about £85. Even something as cheap as ice. Over £1.80 for a kilo in the Co-op, but 2 kilos in Lidl is 89p. Don't even get me started on the Co-op's prices for meat and fish. A cod fillet from the Co-op is over twice the price of a loin of cod from Lidl's. So unless the cod from the Co-op can speak 5 different languages and has a science degree? Why would I spend the extra?. Keep up the good work my friend.

@@BaldFoodieGuy at least you had the common sense to put it in a chilli and just try a small amount on the back of the fork unlike myself who filled up a whole teaspoon and ate it ! As I said to you before I'll not be doing that again 🤣👍

When I do a chilli I mix all the spices in a little cup, chilli powder, smoked paprika, garlic, dill, an oxo cube, tiny squirt compilation of the tomato puree and some Worcester sauce... And stir it into a sort of paste, then add it to the mince n onions!

I started using the kidney beans in chilli sauce when I make a chilli.Only costs a few pence more that the regular ones. You get a few less beans in the can but no rinsing, just dump it in and the sauce adds a bit of richness to the chilli.

Wotto Gareth. Noticed that you've got Frank's Buffalo Sauce on your shelf. While I was in America I ate wings at Denny's a lot and the chef said they use Frank's Hot Sauce with a big nob of butter to make their hot sauce. You could try adding a smaller nob of butter to the Buffalo sauce as it's not as potent as the Hot Sauce. Delicious son. Great videos by the way.

Wiltshire Chilli Farm's Regret doesn't contain the reaper. It has ghost and habanero and uses chilli extract (oleoresin) which ramps it up! Extract tends to have a metallic taste, which I'm not keen on (think Da Bomb chilli sauce, as seen on the Hot Ones show with Sean Evans). Nice one for trying it Gaz!

That was brilliant Gareth. You made a great job of it. It looked delicious and its given me ideas as to how to improve on the way I do mine. Also thanks for featuring the garlic crusher too. Also I noticed you just happen to use the same item to cook with as the next gift thats on its way to you from me. So just keep it as a spare when it arrives. Also I love how you touched on the excessive packaging thing. Quite right, manufacturers are meant ro be reducing packaging these days. All in all a fabulous video you've done there. Oh and fair play to you for sampling that chilli sauce neat, I bet you won't do that again. All the best.
