For real! I’ve been doing my own nails for years now and the most common comment I get is people saying they bet I save a lot of money and that getting nails is expensive and they think they’re overpriced. It annoys me. I always tell them if they did their own nails they would understand the price.

I as well have been doing my own nails for years, but I tell you what. There are many times that I would RATHER go pay to get them done because usually, they are faster, and probably have different design ideas then me. So to me, it’s worth paying. You are paying for their TIME, their KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE. Plus then I don’t have to use my own stuff AND I don’t have to clean up 😊

Nails are a luxury. If you think a luxury service is too costly you can't afford it. You can use other options for your budget that do not require underpaying a professional 😊

I do my own gel extensions and people go "you should be a nail tech!" Sure. I could. But do i want to? No 😂 i think nail techs are so cool but its a service job and you'll have to appease customers who may be super particular or aggravating. I just can't see myself doing that

No one talks about the price of the schooling it takes to be a licensed nail tech either and I feel like that's another reason for the prices and if it's a full time job people gotta eat

Yeah right, the back & neck ache, the eye strain, the being covered in toxic dust until you can have a shower. The cost of having as many choices possible always stocked. Luckily I don't have rude customers, but I'm sure I'll get a few at some point😂

I do nails and I’ll tell you it is not an easy job. It is a job that just anyone cannot do and I’m not talking about the press on nails that so many are wearing now. I’m talking about building at the nail from scratch.

I do my own nails and it’s not easy nor is it cheap I think it’s cheaper to go to a nail tech professional to get them done

Some thing s are best left to a professional. Nail enhancements are prone to infection if not done properly.

Nah, it's definitely cheaper DIY for sure. But they for sure do a better job, faster and more precise. I can't afford it so I diy 🤷🏻‍♀️
