Suzie, can you do a video on short nail designs? For all of us parents, or people who can’t wear long nails due to their work or lifestyle. I know you did a video a few months ago about designs on long and short nails. But it would be great to have a few videos dedicated to just short nails (true short nails, not what people with long nails consider short). I’ve seen a few comments asking for the same things under your videos, so I’m sure this idea could do well! Because there are countless videos on long nails on KZbin, short nail videos would definitely be different, stand out and cater to a lot of viewers. ☺️

PLEASE! I was a pro gardener. Now I do construction. I absolutely LOVE when I take off a glove and reach to see a flash of gorgeous! Plus, I wear polish to help give a bit of extra protection to my nail beds. Works great! I find that I get less tearing at the nail edge. My hands look much nicer after work than they did before I started wearing polish or gel polish years ago. Nails aren't just for the fancy layday! Lol

I couldn't find a way to track my package or my orders I wasn't even able to look at my order history on their website! Point then when finally someone got off their butt 4 months in or maybe even 6 months in to reply to me they were a little bit condescending in reference to the pandemic like I am stupid and do not know that! I told her well that's pretty stinking obvious but what you could have done was email your customers or respond to their emails and let them know that due to everything going on it's going to take a while and offer a way for me to track my package or the progress of an! I am gearing up to open my own salon and I just got an enailcouture order last week, the new packaging is driving me nuts! It doesn't fit on shelves or in roller kits without lying the bottles on their sides! The actual products are good but the non-acetone-resistant, over the top, impractical packaging that always breaks down on me (especially the powder containers leaking and the wonder and bb gel bottle lids just shattering in my hands any time the lid gets stuck and I have to apply actual pressure to open the bottles) is so annoying that I want to quit buying his products. The new Dazzling Darling lamp is so pretty and the light quality is great but the non-acetone resistant plastic, pink coatings that just wipe right off, and the lack of a mirror finish in the base of the lamp is a big let down.

Thanks Suzie, do you recommend applying medium length nails with less of a c-curve using the same technique you used today? or start near cuticle at 45* angle and push down. Do you know how many applications you would get out of DIY gel tube, it doesn't look very big. I'm in Canada and no problems at all ordering from canadian site!!

Where do we leave suggestions or questions? I was wondering what the best e-file for natural nails is. I try to regular e-file but it ended up filing away part of my nail bed LOL
@littlewifethatcould3 жыл бұрын
Getting e-files bits that are made for cuticle and natural nails will be your safest option. The grit is usually low enough that you won’t really “harm” your natural nail. Amazon has tons of affordable options.
@C1nderfire3 жыл бұрын
@@littlewifethatcould tried that. Didn’t work out so well. I figured Susie would have a preferred one

It’s super important to have the right SPEED ( like 2-4 RPMs ) very low with a fine or med sanding bit- no carbide no ceramic no bits with teeth. But practice with the Efile first/ I have videos on this
@thearmchairjournalist5663 жыл бұрын
Pls don’t use a efile on your natural nails unless you are more proficient with it, instead use a board with a gentler grit like 180 or higher. Your nail bed doesn’t need filing just lightly buffing to help products adhere 💅

So I just bought one of the polygel kits off Amazon. I used to do acrylic all the time but developed an allergy to monomer. I am hoping that using alcohol as the slip will reduce the chance of allergic reaction. Do you think there is still a chance for me to blister up?
@misstabithasnails23143 жыл бұрын
It’s possible from what I’ve read. Have you tried hema free monomer? Try really really hard not to get any on your skin if you are going to try the polygel just in case. 💕
@mirandamallery13 жыл бұрын
@@misstabithasnails2314 no I haven't. I've gone to the nail salon a few times since thinking it was the products I was using but still ended up with blisters. Some salons were better than others. I've noticed that if I get even glue on my cuticle sometimes I get blisters.
@misstabithasnails23143 жыл бұрын
@@mirandamallery1 aww 🥺 sounds like contact dermatitis. I read a lot about it when I started last year. Look for hema free polygel and hema free monomer for acrylic if you want to see if you’re allergic to using that. The thing with contact dermatitis is, if you keep exposing yourself to whatever chemical is giving it to you, the allergy can become permanent. ( you’ll have a reaction every time) 😳😭 From what I’ve read hema is one of the biggest culprits for causing it. My natural nails tend to lift at the free edge when I use hema products, switching monomer helped with that. 💕

Suzie/nail techs, do you have any tips/info on full cover tips? I have large nail beds and I've found most brands, even size 0,is too small to cover my thumb. I can't keep affording to buy tips, and most websites don't have a mm sizing guide for their tips. Does anyone know what I can do? 🥺
@Mir_Nohti3 жыл бұрын
I'm not a nail tech, but since I see you've not received an answer from anyone, I'll give it a shot. After searching, I haven't been able to find tips that are sold to be 'wider' than usual, but in the comments at Amazon, you might find people stating here or there that they think the tips run smaller or larger than 'normal'. I have seen some technicians recommend full coverage toenail tips and then build it longer by attaching yet another usual size finger tip. People with Brachydactyly Type D (aka clubbed thumbs, stub thumbs, potter's thumbs or murderer's thumbs) are also served by using nail forms to sculpt a nail or by using the largest usual-sized finger full coverage nail and filling in to each side of the nail with gel or acrylic to complete the coverage. As an aside note: I'm a DIYer for >35 years and have ski slope nails, several of which also grow crooked (one that grows straight up), and several that twist. Since I began with acrylic all those years ago, I taught myself to do sculpting and that resolves all of my issues. I do overlays and only sculpt one nail that grows nearly straight up and any time one breaks (which is almost never). The best of luck to you finding a solution for your needs.

Can you please tell us how to apply tips to flatter/wider nailbeds? Even nailbeds that have bumps or grooves etc. My nails don't have a very strong curve at all across, and tips/full cover tips usually have air bubbles in the middle bc of gaps, or the tip is too curved for my nailbeds. Either with how to modify regular/general tips, or if there is a company that makes tips for flatter nails too! If she's done a video or mentioned it before, sorry, but I haven't come across it 😅
@dizzyantennae58833 жыл бұрын
Not sure if she's mentioned it in a video, but I feel you- my thumbs are very flat and ridgy and it's hard to get tips that fit them well, especially the half size tips. I find it helpful to pick an oversized tip and file it down to fit my thumb shape, vs going with a closer fit, the way I would with my other nails. I usually need a lot more gel in order to fill it in, but it works. In general, though, you'll get a better shape from formed nails (acrylic or gel).
