I love when camera man asks questions, makes the teacher’s heart sing. Also if you would like to avoid any confusion or hurt feelings, you could use the term “less experienced” rather than “less skilled”. This takes the focus off the ability and puts it onto the development specific skill set. Terminology is my passion! Y’all are awesome!

This is a much-needed video that--pardon the expression--fills the information gap in using full-coverage tips. I've generally used the Build-in-a-Bottle to fill in Gelly Tips, but the same applies. If I fill more than twice, they do lift, as you would expect from the apex being off. THANK YOU again for your teaching!

I actually love these. Its quick and easy. I can sculpt and have been doin my own nails for years and then extremely long nails for my oldest daughter. I wish they had these back when she had the extreme nails. It would take me an hour to sculpt her nails. These I’m done in like 20 minutes. I also fill them but I don’t wear my nails long. I’m the person that needs a fill every week.

I only refill when I haven't broken a tip and/or not looking for a new shape. On polygel I just refill until I'm tired of it since it's not acrylic and I find it easier to reshape no matter the nail stage. Just me personally since I don't get acrylic often anymore. Love ya Suzie and thanks for the info! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've been under your tutelage for almost a year.. I've become pretty good at hybrid gel. I even bought your monimer. The slow kind. It too slow for me. Chasing acrylic for 5 min. My question is. I seen somewhere to just add a tiny bit of accitone to speed it up to your liking. Any thoughts on this.
@NailCareerEducation3 жыл бұрын
If your chasing the bead it’s WAAAAAAAYY TOO WET- release MOST liquid from yr brush. Then hold brush in powder for 4-6 secs- then place into nail, dry & clean brush immediately- now, DONT touch that BEAD, let it rest, if it’s running - remove it ASAP- start again till it doesn’t run- everytime using LESS monomer. Then let bead rest on the nail for another 4-6 secs- THEN with a clean DRY brush shape your bead

Hey Suzie that covered my question last week really well. Had a go at my infills twice now so far so good. I do however wear them fairly short and my nail beds quite flat so I tend to go for the natural shape rather than sculpted. Those things become easy with practice But they are not practical and there was a few self-inflicted stab wounds. If I had to function as a mom with small children or working in a job that I had to use my hands constantly, then these types of nails are rather ridiculous. But it really does depend on what you need to do with your heads whether you could have these kind of nails or not.

Lord till this day I can’t get acrylic. I started with gel because that’s what I was getting at the salon. I wish I could master it. Took me a while to really master the gel like two years of new sets and rebalance (and new set is really where the skill is I feel) but I also coupled that with sculpting. Products can really make or break you when learning, get those good forms lol As convenient as they seem, tips, dual forms, full nail tips, they can be more trouble than they are worth. It’s really easy to have overspill or air bubbles/too little product. Literally one day after using four different types of forms over time it just clicked and my application made more sense to me which brought then brought my sculpture from good to proficient. Thanks to these videos I binged when I started lol and my current forms have multiple perforations that I don’t have to use thanks to studying Suzie. Thank you lovely lady!

If I Want to apply a new set of full cover tips yet I took my previous sit down to basically just a Thin layer of gel on my nails with an e file got rid of all lifting.. can i now on top of the gel I left on my nails put a brand new set of gel x tips? I’d like to avoid completely removing all products from my nails every couple weeks if I can as long as I can continually just take all the product down to a tiny thin layer and then redo the service so it’s never technically rebalanced by my untrained hand while also never getting down to my natural nail every time I change them. Hope this question makes sense lol. It’s kind of a bunch of statements lmao. Ty Susie. it’s ok if people are offended when you’re talking about a certifiable skill. DIY nails are just very accessible and the entry level nails have a very low learning curve lol. You are a specialist and as such many people will ever be able to match your skill level let alone expertise level lol. So if people can’t recognize just how difficult it is to do right then they probably won’t ever learn how to fix their mistakes lol

I’m working really hard on perfecting my sculpting. I find gel is a whole lot easier so when I’m in a hurry I build with gel but I’m working on getting that acrylic just right. I find I’m building my acrylic nails way to thick. It’s like I can’t tell how think it is when I’m building… I’m gonna tackle another set on myself today. I film everything so I can watch back and have a better idea of exactly what I’m doing right and wrong… Today I’m gonna try to pay more attention to how much product I’m putting on as I build instead of trying to figure out exactly how thick it is on the form. We’ll see how this works. 😉 Trial by error.

I honestly haven't done a refill on full cover tips. Somehow it feels better to just remove them and put a new set. However, I always do a refill on my natural nails when I do sculpting with hard gel. I haven't had lifting for a long time now, probably over a year, so there's no need to remove everything. I prefer to have hard gel overlay on my natural nails and refill saves time.
