How Quickly Can I Do My Nails Using My Non-Dominant Hand and Dual Forms

Hey, guys
It's Challenge Time and guess what? I'm using my non-dominant hand!! How EXCITING?!?
This challenge is me doing my right hand with DUAL FORMS and to see how fast and how well I can do it.
Do you think I'll be able to do it super quick? THE BETS ARE ON!
First of all, I'm going to prep the nails by pushing back my cuticles and the tidy up the free edge of my nails with a file. Then I'm gonna go pop my tips on in order to be ready for the challenge.
because I'm using my non-dominant hand so this will make it significantly harder for me, but I'm certainly up to the CHALLENGE!
There is no editing trickery in this and a clock is on the screen at all time so you can watch in real time.

Looks like using the forms really helps ease the stress (so to speak) of creating nails with your non-dominant hand. I've been doing them like this on myself for a while now and I love it! Had issues with them coming off and not being as sturdy without tips at first, so I had to change it up. Glad to know it worked for you as well

I am so glad there is an updated video on dual forms, I got a pack about 5 years ago as I am not a professional and am not fantastic on getting the correct thickness amount for acrylics on my own nails and as I could only find 1 video on using them and the best application method i just never tried. Thank you Kirsty for reviewing this product it has been great to see

Love you Kirsty. You always make my day with your videos. About dual forms I don’t like them. I try a couple times but never love them at the end. We always will need an extra hand. In my case, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, have damaged hands because of that so it’s a little harder for me doing my own nails, but keep doing it them. I love it. Thanks for giving me ideas and strength too.

Love it Kirsty. Beautiful. This will increase speed, which means more clients more money. So as long as the nail is strong, and lasts, I don’t see why this couldn’t be done in any salon. I died when waiting for the top coat to cure. Usually we only get the clock, then it’s done, but now we had to wait for the actual 30 seconds🤪

Yes! Whoever said Dual forms with hard gel I totally would love to see that. I use hard gel because I can't sculpt with acrylic to save my life and other channels that do the hard gel don't give me the full Kristy experience!

Yay! You're doing your own nails! I'm still leraning dual forms. But I found an easier way. Use sculpting forms for a smooth underneath then duals forms. Your keft hand nails look gorgeous. Your as talented as ever Kirsty especially with your nondominate hand.

I have done this but with a form then use the pop it on top with builder gel or Polygel. Love how smooth it makes the nail underneath and on top.

Yep I used tips with my Duel Forms. They looked much better. I just did my non dominant hand with tips and sculped them. I did a great job for my first time ever. I took my time and they look great xxxxxxxx

This dual form process is actually quite the game changer as you can shape the tip to the style the client wants and just e-file the overspill without having to worry about filing away too much

This is obviously good for people that just want it to be simple. But I prefer when you do them yourself. I feel like they look too "flat" and have like no shape to them (apex etc)? If that makes sense :D

This set of nails looks pretty good for a quick go at it. The possibilities for this technique are endless. You could have a pre made stencil in the Duel form before you put the acrylic in it.

I feel like you’d need a hybrid gel, in order for it to work. Normal gel would move too much and become wonky before even making it to the lamp. The product needs to be able to hold somewhat of its shape, while the form is flipped over and held down. Even a normal sculpting gel would most likely collapse.

classieclaws it also depends on the viscosity level of the gel some builder gels have a really thick viscosity level so it will not move or run

Cassie Elliott flash curing upside down prevents the product from running when fully curing, as well as using a more viscous gel as the comment above mentions :)

Just heard Adam's comment about hair - yes stray hairs make me retch like I'm gonna be sick! 🤣 I'm one of those people who shed and even my own hair makes me hurl. I work in a huge craft shop and people bring their knitting /crochet and some have knitted/crocheted their hair into their projects and I have to hide the retching behind my green face! Haha

Kirsty I use the plastic pinch clip to hold the Dahl form down them clean up, it's been so long since I played with these , fancy dong a French fade ,inlay femos piece so easy, drill hole in dual form to have spinning beads too, heap think am back to have a play, have great day,,,x💜😍🦄
