We have to think outside of the box, and follow some trails and disqualify some, as we are studying and guided by the Spirit of God.

Btw, The feasts of trumpets was considered a day and hour that no man knoweth..
@pearlyq35605 жыл бұрын
Yes, I forgot about that, thanks for reminder. If I recall, it had something to do with the priest being able to locate something (position of moon?) in the sky and it really messed things up if it was hazy or clouded over, so the next available sighting was when the Feast began. My memory is hazy, (no pun intended), but something along those lines.

p.s. I like how you speak King James, "knoweth".

@pearlyq3560 it is the only feast that starts at the beginning of the month. They had to observe when the day actually started, as you stated. The rest of the moedim start mid month or so.

Paul doesn't mention the Maggai in his letter. Does it mean that his letter was written before the Bible of Matthew?

Dr. Michael Heiser says something about "already but not yet" in this podcast, can someone tell me what is that?
@Namman7775 ай бұрын
It represents a repeating theme in the Bible, both Old and New Testament, and more importantly, in relation to reversing Genesis 3, 6, and 11.

I think the idea is that the kingdom of has started but it has not been fully implemented on earth--already but not yet.

This is probably the only point Dr. Heiser and Rob Skiba can ever agree on (besides maybe "Jesus is a great guy"). As one would expect, this exposition is the deeper dive.

Jesus and Isaac were born on the same day

The only problem which you did not address is the age Jesus was when He died. I have never heard anyone contradict that Jesus was 33 years of age when he died. Therefore, if Jesus was born September 11, 3 B.C., then that would have made Jessu 36 years old when He died, not 33. What say you?

Pearly Q I am of the understanding that Jesus was crucified in 31 AD/CE, on a Wednesday, during Passover week.

@@jamessanborn3043 Why? Why not Friday on Passover in 30?
@jamessanborn30432 жыл бұрын
@@bnjmnwst I am not dogmatic about it, and there are many sources on a Wednesday crucifixion. Matthew 12:40, Jesus said He would be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. There were 2 Sabbaths that week, a Thursday annual Sabbath, the first day of Unleavened Bread, and the Saturday Sabbath. See: John 19:31. And there is much more. See Chuck Missler on the Wednesday crucifixion, for example.

@@jamessanborn3043 there are many layers to this and multiple studies that must be performed to fully understand, but the gist of the problem with this generally accepted timeline is mostly as follows. 1. There was only one Sabbath that week. 2. "3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth" does not necessarily mean 72 hours, nor does the count start at the crucifixion 3. Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits are one day right after the other, on the 14th, 15th, then 16th respectively(this is partially how the Roman Church has been able to pull the wool over the eyes of the public in regards to Good Friday-Easter Sunday) 4. All of this said, it is understood and accepted that Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected in 31AD 1. I am unsure how to reconcile this, but it appears like the only multiple holy convocation days that occur within a seven day period are the holy convocation after Unleavened Bread and the Sabbath that is the next day. 2. The peoples of the Scriptures counted things INCLUSIVELY, not exclusively. This means that counting days, weeks, months, or years starts at 1, not 0. So even if there was only minutes left in a day, the following day would be day 2. Furthermore, the term "heart of the earth" refers to the time in which Jesus would be at the mercy and in the hands of men, rather than God. So the count actually starts with night 1 in Gethsemane, not day 1 at the crucifixion. 3. Leviticus 23 outlines the appointed times of God, starting in verse 5 is the time of year we are talking about. it outlines that the Passover is on the 14th, the following day is a Sabbath, the 15th(the 15th is always a Sabbath according to the creation calendar, also another study). This makes the 16th First Fruits, the day after the Sabbath. 4. There are multiple resources on the 31AD death of Jesus, the most important and Scriptural-based is the 70wk prophecy in Daniel. Again, this a huge study, and it is wrapped up in many other studies to come to the correct conclusion. And honestly, we probably won't have the whole truth until the two witnesses show up to clarify a couple things. But this is what I understand based on the studies I have read and tested. I am happy to answer any questions.

@@NerdWatchtower Regarding John 12:1-2, if Passover was on a Friday (as traditionalists believe), if one counts back six days from an alleged Good Friday, one arrives at a Saturday/weekly Sabbath, which no-one is allowed to strike a fire and cook a meal, which would violate the Sabbath. But if the Passover/crucifixion was on a Wednesday, and one counts back six days, one arrives at a Thursday, and there is no conflict with the 7th day Sabbath. Same goes for a Thursday crucifixion.
