Imagine seeing this unimposing man walking down a busy sidewalk, in New York, say - where tik-tok photographers can't get enough of clicking and sharing their images of Beautiful People - not realizing here is one of the most radical life-teachers of our times. I keep getting hooked by normalcy and returning to Ekhart, again and again, vowing like a faithless lover to never leave... and yet I do, a thousand times in a day, even. I am older now. Illusions and beliefs have become lifeless. In the absence of personal dramas there is space to see and feel the conditioned traps, especially apparent in relationships. Infinite gratitude to you, Ekhart, to the energies that gave you to us. I love reading the gratitude and comments from fellow listeners.

After reading "the power of now" oct 2017, I started to watch my mind process and I was doing a lot of work out and went back to get my degree. My life had changed a lot, focusing in one thing at every moment. I could get things done, I almost didn't judge people behavior, enjoyed free time. It was wonderful! Then after August I recognized that I was losing that focus, I stopped doing the little things that gave me that freedom. So I'm here starting all over again.

Tinnitus keeps total silence from happening for me, no matter where I am. Ringing in both ears becomes my practice. It's been so many years now, I can't remember having no sound in my ears. But yet, I can sense the stillness that silence brings, even though there is a constant ringing in my ears. :)

I can feel the oneness timeless powerful being within this physical form and everything else. It's beautiful, liberating experience really, in my 28 years of physical life on earth yesterday was the first day I walked on the streets as a being uninterrupted by the mind and the veil. I no longer fear death, separation, heartache, disease, failure, success, loss for they are part of the physical ever shifting form for we are a force that has a depth that's much larger than that of form.

One of the handful of things in my life that I am SO grateful for is my acting training under wonderful teachers. It took 40 years for me with Zen and meditation to appreciate this as if to find all essencial is contained here, "Right on!" "Compared to living in the now (in the state of being), wanting to live elsewhere (ie, avoiding to be in the now) may cause stress - or actually it is stress. However we are so accustomed "not" to be in the state of "what is" (the state of being), we may be suffering even without noticing - due to our misguided desire/ fear (greed/ aversion). I remember Tolle mentioned elsewhere that after his awakening, he found himself spending ~80% of the time in stillness (ie, in the now/ presence) - stepping out of time and mind. Yet, as he said, to step out, we may simply pay attention to breathing or find alertness/ aliveness inside (inner body sensation) or outside us (eg, find beauty). Being aware, there is no need to use words, interpret, judge, etc. to have a deep appreciation or find the meaning of life. (remind me of the wave and ocean analogy - to point that in deeper level of our consciousness, all is well). What is also quite interesting is; we do not need time to study, or even to know what to study or what to accomplish but just be here and now. Or, just be aware that we are aware (as I pointed elsewhere). This fullness (eg, Buddha nature - or Christ within us) is already with us, which he calls essence identity, which I call often call it; Laws of nature). But there is no need to look for what that is, where it is, how we may get that, etc. Just be aware - pay attention to breathing, etc... No need to look for it by using our mind, but let go... since you do not leave "home" to look for home as you are here and now at home already. Due to whatever has happened in the past; however, a habitual pattern of how our mind functions may come back. But again, just be aware! (Then, I sense we may even find what Buddha calls eight noble path - right observation, thinking, etc. or six perfections/ paramitas reveal to us on their own.) So, just do one thing at a time whatever that is while completely being aware of our taking each step. Accordingly, wisdom and compassion may reveal on their own - as natural outcome. If not, so it is... So, he points that there is no need to even try to improve yourself or try to be completely aligned to the state of now all the time. So, do not burden yourself- but accepting whatever comes by being in the now. If we do not avoid the now, we may find that the "now" (as in spaciousness or vast stillness) may become stronger than "whatever happens in the now" (ie, events or emotions - either good or bad). Again, ripples (in our mind) vs. ocean (vast emptiness or underlining field of stillness). BTW my image of dipping into the ocean is; "melting into the nature". So, it is no need to seek or try to achieve anything... (So, again, no need to avoid being in the now!) Absolutely - Well done! * Actually, I've just found this video I made; "Be aware if I am not aware that I am not aware," connecting to his message: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmqViJKql8uGp5I&ab_channel=KiyoshiSuzaki
