That blood red ESP has been my dream guitar since having stood 5th row at the Slayer show in 2018. Holt is a badass riff master and thats a badass guitar. Thats the first time I heard a guitarist mention Hondo guitars. It was my first electric guitar back in the 80's and don't believe they exist anymore

People who take the "..who invented thrash metal"-line literally need to lighten the fuck up. And to be fair his playing might not be top notch here, but if you're not warmed up and put on the spot like that, a person might not sound their best. He plays pretty fucking tight live, and has made some of the best music in the genre. Major props to Gary.

Saw him in November, the first night of the Slayer/Exodus/Suicidal Tendencies tour at the Fox in Oakland. Damn fine show. He had this absolutely gorgeous purple EC as well as the black and red LTD and I kept thinking "where's the V?!" Alas, he rocked and the guitar looked and sounded great. It was the first time I had seen him in the last several years without his Schecters. Pretty cool that he's getting some signatures, keep goin!

...1980-ish, Bonded by Blood same time Haunting the Chapel .. Thrash Metal was born, created & started. Exodus & Slayer. The bands credited with creating Trash. Metallica, Testament & a couple other majors and "Bay Area Thrash was born. A San Fransisco Only club. Gary Holt plays for the 2 founding bands & after Kirk Hammett left is still considered the father of Exodus. Know your metal / music.

RIP Jeff, I think he would be happy that Gary is continuing to carry on the legacy of Slayer. It's about the fans of the music & I think the guys in Slayer made the right decision. I hope they continue to make great thrash music & put religion in it's place. That being said, it's about the music & making people happy... everything else is secondary.

Hey. I'm a lefty. So is Tony Iommi- one of the guys who actually created Heavy Metal. It's an awesome looking guitar but I won't buy a guitar and flip it. I need something that meets my needs. A guitar is a luxury item. It's not something I actually Need like a coffee cup. I've never been a huge ESP fan. When I was a kid they just made cheap Japanese copies. And I'm actually Japanese just in case you're wondering. I think I'll stick to Fenders, Gibson, Deans etc.
