Okay, so, basically is kind of like a concept album, they're the fabulous Killjoys, some "rebels" that fight this "evil" corporation called Better Living Industries (BL/Ind). This corporation kind of like keeps you medicated so you won't have any emotions, so they live in a "perfect" world, called Battery City (kind of like a giant dome. Outside that dome everything is destroyed and toxic after the war. That's where the Killjoys live, it's called the zones). Gerard way, the singer, wrote this entire story with Shaun Simon (was in Frank's, the guitarist, band before mcr), and it's a pretty cool comic. Part 2 of this music video is the song "Sing".

Danger Days is so colorful! The story takes place in 2019, so it was fun to go back and listen to it- hearing it in 2010 vs 2019, comparing when it was written to now-ish and seeing how the world was changing was like a "wow" moment. S/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w and Vampire Money are probably my favorites from this album, both with different backstories behind them

I was soooo freaking hype when they used a cut down version of this song for the trailer of the album "Danger Days". I showed it to everyone, I loved the lyrics, I loved the theme, it was just so different and loud. And worked for their attempts to switch from the black and white theme they had in The Black Parade.

Gerard is an Artist. He worked for an advertising company before the band. His Graphic novel was made and on Netflix “The Umbrella Academy” This music video is another of his graphic novels “The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys” Unorthodox and crazy versatile. The whole band.

Dunno if you're a comics fan, but fun fact: The bald man in this music video and the Sing music video is Grant Morrison, who is an extremely well known comic author who has written for a lot of DC properties, some Marvel, and a lot of others. Gerard is the author of the (now getting rather famous because of the Netflix series) Umbrella Academy comics, and wrote comics that the concept for this album is based off of, and Grant Morrison is one of his favorite comics authors, so he was thrilled to get Morrison on board for the project.

YAY, MCR! Thanks, Santa, you really do like fun! Said Pahua is right, you ought to do Sing next (please) because that video continues the story of this video. I'm glad you liked this one because this, among hardcore MCR fans, is from maybe their least popular album. Meanwhile, I was late to the game and came in on this album when it was released in 2010 so it's my favorite. Edit: The word they were bleeping out at the beginning wasn't profanity, it was the word drugs. "Drugs, give me drugs, give me drugs, I don't need it. But I'll sell what you got, take the cash and I'll keep it."

I think this one of the songs that were in protest to the popularity they achieved with the black parade. the pop-punk style of the song with a deeper story that goes over the whole album is definitely subversive to the blink-182, sum 41 style as well as the most popular songs on the black parade, and how rock was being pulled into a melding with pop at that point in time.

great reaction man, and this is my favorite song on the album. danger days is my least favorite album tbh just because it doesn't seem that interesting to me instrumentally and the vocals aren't really as passionate as before. so i wouldn't reccomend reacting to something like "sing" now, maybe first get to know some of their earlier stuff. still really recommend "mama", "i never told you what i do for a living" or basically anything from "three cheers". and about jazz yes, frank iero's (rhythm guitarist) dad and grandfather are both jazz musicians

This is the first MCR song you've reacted to that's not great imo. I mean it's fun and it's still pretty good, but it doesn't compare to most of the Black Parade. I was hoping Mama would be your next reaction. You gotta hear that song!
