There are tents that come without the bottom liner. I think that would be a better option.

i did look into those but i was a little concerned about water infiltration... in the end i got a tonneau cover and a bed rack with a roof top tent

@flaberdoopin I'm thinking about buying an RTT too, but the price difference with a tent like your video is huge. And if it's only for going camping 3 or 4 times a year, i don't know if a rooftop tent would be worth it. Plus, I wouldn't take an rtt off the car, so would be driving the whole year round with it on my bed.

If you had a soft /roll-up tonneu cover... it would work even better. They just use up like 4 inchess max at the front.

But they provide minimal security

You should organize some east coast RRs for an overland trip!

That would be awesome!

Do you know of a good motorized tonneau cover that can be operated by the RR’s auxiliary switches?
@flaberdoopin3 ай бұрын
Not sure how that would work using aux switch because that just provides power, you would still need a different switch to open and close the cover.
@jayrod3773 ай бұрын
@@flaberdoopinGood point. I guess that wouldn’t work unless one aux switch could be used for power and then a second one for open/close, if that could be wired somehow for that function.

What’s the size of the mattress?
@flaberdoopin3 ай бұрын
It is a FULL and it fits almost perfectly but has to squish a bit between the wheel wells

whats the size so i can buy the tent and fit it on my ranger
@flaberdoopin3 ай бұрын
This is the midsize 5’ bed tent
@xNazZiiz3 ай бұрын
@@flaberdoopin so the compact short bed (5'-5.2') would fit the ranger? and I do appreciate the speedy response thank you!

Yes, I just went back into my Amazon orders and confirmed, and the price is only $117 right now!
