Hahaha! Napoleon is complaining about the British abandoning their honor? That’s rich coming from a man who broke his word of honor when in exile the first time and went on to cause the battle at Waterloo. Frankly, he was lucky that he wasn’t executed for his actions during the last 20 years! Of course, execution would’ve made him a martyr to many of his people, and that was the last thing that Europe and England needed. It’s interesting how narcissistic leaders can cause untold death and destruction but refuse to take responsibility for their actions that caused all the damage in the first place. Thanks for the wonderful videos! I only wish that there were even more to watch!💚

@@EvelynEdwards He's the embodiment of 'rules for thee, but not for me', isn't he? After all the death and destruction he caused, he still expected to be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy, even after losing and by his long-term enemies. They should have let him rot in a dungeon somewhere...
@monicacall75324 ай бұрын
@@raraavis7782the problem with a dungeon, if it wasn’t on an island far removed from civilization like St Helena, was that his followers would’ve been continually working to find him and help him escape. Imagine how expensive that would be, plus the matter of security would be an absolute nightmare. Leaving him on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere and where his followers couldn’t easily get to him was genius in my opinion.

@@monicacall7532 Good point. I never really thought about the 'why' very much, I have to admit. I kinda just assumed that it was a convenient place for them to have him stay in relative comfort. Doesn't help, that I have no idea, where St. Helena is, exactly 🫣🤸🏻♀️😎. I know the name of the island, but I never looked it up on a map - which feels very silly now. Edit: Ah. Yes, that is indeed pretty far away and inaccessible. You would probably need an outstanding navigator to even find that teeny, tiny island!
