Just at the start of the race, key points for me. 1. Very unique and vintage to see Bristol not concrete and not surrounded in seating. 2. Didn't know Melling and Bud Moore uses the old 87-88 Thunderbird in 1989.

1989 was the transition period of the old boxy T-bird used in the 87-88 to the new T-Bird used from 1989 to 1995. Teams were still transitioning over during this point of the season, by the second half though you saw most of the teams have the correct T-Bird body.

@@evanwilliams6406 I remember in 1998 when they switched from T-Bird to Taurus and how some of the teams still used the T-Bird on the superspeedways. Jimmy Spencer in the #23 and Chad Little in the #97 are two I remember vividly.

It’s gonna be nice seeing Bristol recreate the classic red/white walls, it’ll definitely remind me of this era

Wish they'd recreate the 36 degree worlds fastest half mile an worlds highest banks like it is supise to be why boss hog thought they should drop it to 24 il never no
@TracksideViews10 ай бұрын
It was never actually 36, it was 26 and they counted the 10 degrees of banking on the apron to get the 36 degrees. It was marketing.
@brianbooher731810 ай бұрын
@@TracksideViews your dumber than hell the banking always was 36 watch the 85 night race they demonstrate what 36 is by parking a car an it's so steep the car rolls over..the fuvcking apron has not a dam thing to do with anything I live beside the track I no how steep it was till boss hogg ruined the place

He said they would go around the track 500 times, so its not a 500 mile race? Track is .533 mile so they gotta run like 900 some odd laps
