I am an 85 year old classically trained singer with a wide range and Lara Fabian's rendition of Je suis malade is the best performance I have ever heard!! She is so secure in her vocal instrument that, she is able to vent her emotions and, control her emotions so the quality of her voice is unaffected. She has an amazing vocal range and is my all time favorite of all the female singers I have ever heard!

Hi, Natalia. First time I am tuned to your channel and to listen to also my favorite vocalist of all time, Lara Fabian. You are also the first reactor (and a vocal coach at that) stating outright that Lara is your role model. I'm happy to hear someone say that, which is music to my ears. You are also right saying that Lara is the best of the best. I am 67 years old and I have heard many excellent singers but none of them could or can do what Lara does. On stage our dearest Lara BECOMES/IS THE STORY...inseparable! This video shows very clearly how she's already into the story through her composure long before he starts singing. Also right at the end of the video, which you did not show, you would have seen how it took her even a while to recover after the completion of song! That is the mark of a true artist besides everything else she does in between. Your reaction to this song is really good and covers a lot of ground regarding the particular shades of Lara and who she is, all of which makes your reaction noteworthy. You have to Dion out of the list after she tried to get Lara blacklisted in North America, harassing theatre owners to not let her perform in their theatres, after Lara moved to Montreal. Dion became a childish joke after that.

@@chancyzone Elle est très clairement à leurs niveau vocalement, c’est un fait et n’importe quelle personne ayant des connaissances en chant le sait…sans compter que Lara n’est pas juste interprète contrairement à beaucoup de vocalistes, dont celles que tu as cité. Ce sont très souvent les gens mal dans leur peau et n’ayant pas réussi à accomplir quoi que ce soit dans leur vie qui déblatèrent sur ceux qui ont réussi. Tu la compares à d’autres en terme de succès mais toi, qu’as tu accomplie de si grand pour te croire permis de tenir de tels propos? Et n’essaie pas de te donner une crédibilité en disant que tu as ses albums et que tu l’écoutes, comme ça a déjà été dit, tes commentaires sont rabaissants et tu les écrits pour montrer la soit-disant supériorité de ton idole. Cette guerre entre fans de Dion et Fabian est ridicule et te pousse à écrire des idioties. Il serait temps de grandir un peu et de trouver un autre passe temps que de critiquer sur le net une femme talentueuse ayant une belle et grande carrière…car oui, avoir vendu des millions de disques, être la plus grosse vendeuse féminine belge de l’histoire, être connu à l’international etc…est une grande carrière dont beaucoup rêveraient d’avoir, il faudrait être stupide pour le nier.

Honestly. I have watched this video, then a bunch of reactions videos over and over like 10 times since yesterday and I continue to be just as floored about how primal and raw someone can be, and yet combined with a talent for essentially PERFECT singing technique and a willingness to FUCKING GO THERE and emotionally and surgically destroy herself ON STAGE. I am frankly just in disbelief that it's possible to do that, watch after watch.

It seems to me that Lara Fabian sings always from experience, that is why she can deliver every line of her songs with such a soul and heart. It is so pure and so full of the deepest emotions. Thank you for this analysis full of wisdom and sensibility. Lara Fabian is really one of a kind, an outstanding singer and a loving, intelligent, creative, quality, and gentle woman and human being. Every time she steps on a stage, we, as the audience, will be deeply touched emotionally. She releases hers emotions and, as a consequence, she releases ours. It is pure feeling... Besides, she is a tremendous storyteller.

I’ve been a fan decades ago and she is absolutely considering her 25 years of vocals in 12 languages ( there’s a video “ Lara Fabian sings in 12 languages). The best female vocalist in the world. None even come close. Does Mariah, did Whitney, Streisand, Morissette, Celine belt them with emotional power in 12 languages? Also she wrote “ Adagio” “ Broken Vow” She also acts them out with her body. She embodies the songs. By the way , “ Lara With Love” is my favorite live concert of all time. Not just Lara’s but no better concert in the history of concerts. There are at least 6 songs from this concert that are beyond amazing. All love, Al

I've lost count on how many times I've watched this performance, but it brings the tears every single time. No other performer comes close to her ability to convey and evoke emotion. Her vocal talent is perfection, her beauty is breathtaking. And she is a very humble, grounded woman who is not an ego driven diva, (cough, Mariah). She's extremely intelligent and very funny. She doesn't display all of her awards in her home, they're packed away in boxes. She's the epitome of class, always dressed appropriately, wears very little makeup. She doesn't need to sell herself sexually like most of today's current female singers. If you watch her performing "Tango", using a chair as a prop, she's more sensual than any of these half naked, twerking "entertainers". And her fans have a love for her that's deep and true. I'm in love with her too, it's impossible not to.

Lara not only sings,she lives emotionally this song,a cocktail of sadness,resignation,anger,and those voice transitions from low to high without a wrinkle moving on her face,that sigh after almost every lyric,and final,she stays almost 1 minute in that story of the song until she interacts again,with the audience!!! I couldn't agree more with you Natalia , definitely Lara Fabian did gone through a lot , indeed she worked hard to reach the vocal goddess level but what really strikes me down is the amount of soul she puts in it , i mean we all know the big names in the industry , Mariah , Celine, Whitney , all of them had their great moments and definitely deserve to be called performers but Lara was above and beyond that caliber . First of all her diaphragm , her stamina , her clarity is O.M.G . I think God gave us Lara as a gift , her powerful vocals in combination with her emotional connection to each song , plus her ability to speak multiple languages ( 9 ) and write lyrics in ( 6 ) of them , plus she composes and so many other things about her make her so special , so unique that she is a category by herself . Plus that even though she matured since she did all those videos , one would expect her voice to give away slowly , but not Lara , she is even more powerful now and far more experienced . I personally think her range and her technique are second to none , as you said ...Perfection :) Thank you for reacting to Lara !

Thank you Natalia for your KZbin response. I am 85 and sing for my own enjoyment! There are many people that never sang publicly with great singing voices and, while I did sing publicly when I was younger, I lacked the need for others to tell me how good or badly I sing. I love music, still sing and, can not imagine life without music and singing. I have long ago lost or misplaced the records and tapes I made so no one will ever know of my talent except me. Thank you for caring and for promoting good singers and for the excellent taste in music!!

Lara has been the best singer since she appeared..she hasn't been recognized and valued for reasons I cant explain. In my channel dedicated to Lara and biggest fans, i am doing interviews recently to have opinions about it. It's all a theme that must be analized. But it's never late to be known, recognized and valued in music world and Lara's time is just coming up..after many years of career...she was practically swept away in a unfair way...

I'm not really a big fan of Laura's songs because that's not my kind of music... But this cover is, to me, the best of the world, she's just perfect, moving, amazing, incredible, touching, telling and living this toxic relationship... I have so much respect for her... When I can think she' s been attacked in her profession, her performances, I just can say that many people are just toxic themselves because she didn't really deserve it, she has the voice of an angel and the best way to tell a story, shame on them... Happy she exists, this song is so personal to me, I thank her for her performance... Love from France 🇫🇷❤️

Thanks for your beautiful reaction. Lara is so much more than a great singer. It takes so much more to just let yourself loose and let your inner feelings out. And she don't care about "ugly face" (how that would be possible with her face) she just communicate and she got me totally hypnotized. Stunning!

Whats truly amazing is as great as this is and it is. The 2003 live performance of this is even more amazing which may be hard to believe but take a look at it and I promise you that performance of this song will leave you speechless.

I have never heard anyone ride that line between emotional breakdown and tone and pitch perfect singing without any cracks so closely, and probably never will , she is amazing, she takes you on an emotional ride , and keeps you hanging onto every word .
