One of the biggest challenges in the first movie was animating Violets hair, in this one they just flexed with the hairdryer scene😂

Pixar tends to enhance their animation over the years to be as realistic as possible and they nail that every time. However, Disney has done the exception when Encanto came into the picture since it is the first movie to have every single strand of hair animated to the most minute detail, given the fact that it was set in a place where the people of Columbia are diverse just as the country itself.

What makes the death of the father more heartbreaking, is that the reason the two supers never picked up the phone is because they were victims of Syndromes killer robot in the first movie. In some of the scenes they had to tone down the flashing lights after it was already in theaters because they were really worried it might cause seizures for people that have photosensitive epilepsy. They even put warnings up at theaters and everything. It was fixed once it went to digital. The trainer in Rocky talked about Rocky is going to eat thunder and crap lightning. Probably a direct reference to that movie. Hopefully The Wild Robot is on your short list of animated films to watch. It replaced Inside Out 2 as my favorite animated movie of 2024.

This movie took a very famous trope, "wife goes to work and finds out husbands job really is too hard, husband stays home and finds out wifes work is too much for him", and does something new. What if wife goes to work and.... she's great at it! Even better than him! And what if dad stays home and turns out.... he's great!!! And relates even better to the kids!". It's a great concept, of both partners respecting each other without needing to elevate or lower any position, but just accept that they're different, and you may like either.

@@bentowle3478 She's been a hero before, he's been working his whole life and hasn't had to be the stay at home before. So it would make sense that the hero that was literally picked for being non destructive did a non destructive job. And it would make sense that he's going to have trouble for like 1 day. That's it, he was "incapable" for just a few days. One could easily say that it's not realistic that he would master parenting like that in a week or two. So if anything it showed that he has the talent for being a great stay at home dad, he just didn't know it.

11:45 WE saw. But it was the babysitter. Bob and Hellen weren't home to see. 13:15 It's not a new outfit. It's her same, old costume from before she married Bob and became "Mrs. Incredible." 13:45 She flew a jet in the first movie. I'd say it's perfectly reasonable to assume she can also pilot a helicopter (not saying "since she can fly a plane, she can fly a chopper." She likely learned how to pilot both). 27:20 I feel that casting Bob Odenkirk for this character was a deliberate attempt to leverage Odenkirk's image/reputation as the sleezy/crooked Saul Goodman character to make us (or at least those of us familiar with his Saul Goodman role) automatically harbor suspicion for him, rather than Evelyn, taking the suspicion off of her just long enough to work. Also... if you didn't notice: Evelyn Deavor = Evil Endeavor. 28:45 Do you ever think about how many more dimensions Void has to think in? 28:55 Speed 2 reference, by the way.

Well the thing about hypnosis is that there are actually multiple layers of the subconscious. The typical parlor trick, party game hypnosis is the one that most people display. The ones like you'd see on TV Talk Shows or even in "Now You See Me." Despite being used to manipulate the subconscious, it's still surface level and is the one that some people can easily overcome. Then there is much deeper hypnosis which works more effectively because the subject gets drugged and his conscious mind if impaired and muddled. THIS is the kind of hypnosis that is sometimes referred to as psychological conditioning. Creating "Sleeper Agents" for Assassinations and such.

There's an 80s Michael Keaton movie called Mr Mom that hits a lot of the same beats as the Mr Incredible sub plot. You might want to check it out.

U can't not be generous, thank you for giving it a 40/40. U just can't not love this movie. The first was my all around number 1, until the 2nd came out. 1 was great, 2 is the step up

You need to watch the short video of what happened when Edna was babysitting Jack Jack.

Really glad to find someone enjoyed it as much as I did! I was definitely in the minority when it came out in terms of reacting very well to it.
