People should also be reminded that Egypt a number of years ago (sorry don't remember exactly when) razed tens of buildings along the Gaza side of the Rafah border to create a buffer zone. The Gazans were given very short notice, in some case a matter of hours and treated like trash. I don't recall an international outcry when this occured. Egypt can do as it pleases. It is outrageous that they are joining SA in the court case as they allowed the massive flow of weapons into Gaza. They are complicit in the terrorist attack/s against Israel. The International court should throw both of them out.

I have long been impressed with Natasha. She is working incredibly hard trying to combat the blatant antisemitism that exists around the world. She knows her subject & the law inside out. She must be dismayed at the 1930’s wave of antisemitism and Biden’s flip flopping on his support or lack of it for Israel. The law should win the day but will it?
@yperkin101615 күн бұрын
Nope...it can't under the currently ' empowered' International Institutions....unless Good People rise to demand Truth in Law.

Settlets should sue EU for imposing sanctions on them. EU assumes they are illegal setllers, but in fact because Judea and Samaria are Israel sovereign territory according to the international law uti possedetis juris, these settlements are legal. Thus EU has no right to impose any sanctions. Same goes to US

I think the joke about the authorities requiring prior convictions went over most of the audience’s head. I made a similar joke when I first arrived to Australia. One must not forget that those arriving were both prisoners and their guards. Thus, the duality of the Aussie’s soul.

What nobody is addressing is the elephant in the room. The Gaza Strip has been turned into a multi million strong terrorist training camp by Iran, with the support and connivance of the United Nations. We people who love freedom and democracy above all our various differences need to act. The League of Nations passed its time, the United Nations is now a parody of the intentions of its founders, the time has come to leave. For all democracies who so wish to form their own Union, with a new declaration and constitution. As it is democracy that is under vicious attack, a mutual defence pact should form its heart.
@yperkin101615 күн бұрын
Absolutely.
@beardedchimp2 күн бұрын
> multi million strong terrorist training camp Gaza with a population of 2 million, is by your description an entire nation of terrorists. This is a classic case of dehumanisation, which has often been used historically to justify genocide. Collective punishment is a war crime, if you dehumanise the entire population as terrorists you are presenting the collective as deserving of punishment. Hamas is presented as being the elected representative of Gaza. What is not mentioned is that happened in 2006 and was anything but a fair and free election. Collectively blaming Palestinians for Hamas seizing power nearly 20 years ago is horrific and again dehumanising. > We people who love freedom and democracy above all our various differences need to act Gaza and the West Bank have no freedom. Palestine has no democratically elected Government for Gaza or the West Bank, historically any elected parties are not recognised by Israel and have been presented as a paramilitary party. People who love freedom should be desperately demanding Palestinians have this basic right, they should be fighting for countries to facilitate democratic elections and for their international recognition. Israel has freedom and democracy, people who love those values consider advocating for free, democratic nations as risible virtue signalling. True humanitarians fight for those without, standing side by side with children dying of famine is hard, that is why it matters. I support the lives and safety of Israelis, I abhor the attacks and murder of their innocent civilians. Disgusting generalisations and dehumanisation of Iraeli Jews utterly disgusts me and I reject it with every fibre of my being. Describing 2 million Palestinians as terrorists is revolting and inhumane.
@AdelinaMullerКүн бұрын
@@beardedchimp It is very nice to read, for a change, someone on the other side expresses his disgust for Palestinian crimes. However, sadly, your voice is somewhat lonely. While in a strict numeric fact, you are right that there aren't multi-millions supporting Hamas in Gaza, around the world there are enough misguided people who fit this description. And many hundreds of thousands in Gaza itself. We watched many of them celebrating October 7th, and of course on many occasions before. I am afraid that you are also wrong about the election in 2006. Supervised at the time by Jimmy Carter and his team, he reported fair elections, and urged us all to "Give Hamas a chance". It's not the first or last time that American naivety cost many Israeli lives. People who love freedom should be desperately demanding Palestinian accountability. Then and only then can we start hoping for improvement in this mess.
@g4047115 күн бұрын
Well spoken Natasha Hausdorff,I can't understand the logic of law that would adjudicate victims who were illegally and brutal invaded in the lands of Israel as perpetrators of human rights when they have a human right regards their self defence.All those rockets fired at Israel had they not been engaged and distoreyed would have killed not only huge numbers if israelites but also Gazan peoples isn't this evidence not only an attempt at genocide against a peoples but proves that this ideological hate against Israel cares nothing about those they use as human shields?
