I know this was 4 years ago, but had to comment. My husband is always purchasing apple turnovers from the grocery store, and is also always disappointed that there are not very many apples in them. This recipe calls for 3 granny smith apples but I bought 4 and stuffed the turnovers as much as I could. They didn't leak and turned out beautifully! And making them this way with the Phyllo dough is easy and inexpensive. I think we pay $8 for 4 apple turnovers at the store. Thank you !

This morning we had a family breakfast and my brother suggested I make apple turnovers with frosting. I found your recipe and made it. My husband said they were a 10. My brother said they were just what he'd wanted so I thank you for posting this recipe with video. They were a huge hit. I doubled the recipe. All of them but one and a half were eaten by the time breakfast was over. Thank you so much for posting this with video. It was the first time I've made them and your clear instructions made them super easy!

I am 67... I haven't made these ever, but my mom did way back when I was 14. Now I have my own two, 2, apple trees in my not orchard size middle of the danged city of Bellevue Ohio back yard. Today, first apples. First thing I thought of was mom. Second, apple turnovers. Googled it, and there you were, and since I subscribed, there you'll stay! Awesome presentation. Just like Nashville singers in concert, stage presence. And you've got it.

I don't necessarily enjoy being in the kitchen for too long, but I love gardening and I've been growing my own apples the last two years. Winesap apples to be exact. This year I was determined to bake something with them, but I wanted to make something I love. And I love me a good apple turnover. That's where you come in! I looked through many videos and your easy recipe along with great personality won me over. Tonight I made these and OMG! They turned out delicious. Even my husband and kids were impressed. But overall, I was impressed. Thank you for making a recipe enjoyable to follow. I added a little extra brown sugar and cinnamon since I added an extra apple. I baked a few, ate a few and froze the others. You have a new subscriber!

Have watched a few of your bakes and they are so easy and as I’m watching from Australia you don’t use a lot of stuff only available in America (like cool whip) in your recipes. Just made your strawberry cheesecake, it’s in the fridge now ready for desert tonight. Only changes I make is I always use 80% stevia and 20% sugar as my husband is a sweet tooth …diabetic. I have made apple pies myself but these look easier than how I make them so will try it, don’t usually glaze the top but I will tomorrow.
