My favorite aerobic workout. Once I adapted to it I took the next step and started doing it only breathing through my nose. After I adapted to that, I started throwing 3-5 burpees during each recovery session. Last week I threw in some strength work in each recovery interval. I did 6 close grip pushups, then next rest interval 7 squats with dumbells, then next rest session 7 hanging leg raises. I repeated with each set except for the burner set at the end. This is one of the great things about this workout-it is so flexible!

A coaching center is not a place to show off ur skills its a place to learn so I'm not sure why ur spending money to get kickboxing lessons while ur actually learning it on youtube
@OnceUponADreamersDay Жыл бұрын
@@Mark-mh3fc Mark, you don't understand the female experience. There have been many times when fellow students who lacked skills in comparison to me, refuse to fight me because I'm a girl. I received this kind of behavior not just from the students, but from the coach too sometimes. I cannot control other people's attitudes but I can take charge of my own skills because that way, they're just being sexist, not stating a fact. And since I biologically have less strength than males, I have to work twice as hard so I can keep up. For me, the learning doesn't end when the class does. And anyway, did you not do homework for school? Wasn't it called a waste of money if you didn't revise what you've learned? And people do show off their skills in class just so you know. How do you think sparring works?

Great Video and Excellent workout, I have been shadow boxing and doing "air Karate kicking" off and on since I was a kid, I just turned 60 last year and had aching shoulders from years of installing chain link fences, by lifting the material over shoulder level. So I started back in on the shadow boxing several months ago and shoulder aches were gone after the first couple weeks of 20 minute a day shadow boxing, It has also helped breathing and cleared up the respiratory system, - haven't had a cold in years , I also combine the exercise with mountain bike riding several hours a week up steep terrain, I told my brothers to do shadow boxing too.

Been boxing a while and when watching this I first thought negative like : I dont like the jab, yes straight line(very nice by the way) but didnt like the non initiation of the hip(even just a slight) behind it,the jab i mean as it was there every other shot but im only nit picking the jab, but then stopped myself with a "reality thought" as I want to call it, not real but actual reality, that those shots do land and furthermore have great impact. So I went from over criticising a detail, in my head, that doesn't actually reflect if the fighter does it in a match or not, and whether it would bypass my guard which I know it would because the straightness of it doesn't have any tell so it's redundant to criticise on such a tiny detail as the inclusion of a slight adjustment of technique, and started appreciating the great advice and, truth be told, demonstration of a work out that I will be sharing with friends from my club(the one I currently go to) and also work on myself, because the sequences ,although fundamental, are ones I sometimes forget to do again but also the perfect straight lines as shown here are missing from my shots again. Why am I mentioning all this? We can all too often watch videos on you tube and disregard the content because of our ego and sometimes natural want to find flaws in others but the benifit of any lesson is got by searching for the lesson and not by noticing any "perceived" "flaws", there are no flaws here only my insecurity during the first watch ,but when it was mentioned in the end that he is a fitness trainer I realized the desclosure wasn't necessary as the only thing making anyone critique this are unnecessary egos which i had first viewing, second viewing rid me of that

Because my fitness wasn't on par the first time I ran through this, I took a break between round 3 and 4 for 1 minute extra, then during round 5 I knew there was no way I'd be able to complete burpees with good form, so I changed round 5-1 to front push kicks for distancing, 5-2 to elbow and knee roundhouse cover - then clinch knee and 5-3 to side-front-roundhouse kicks, it worked a charm and I was able to complete. Wicked workout, hope I'll dig into the conditioning portion next time.

Nate, I started doing this about 2 weeks ago. My goal is 100lb weight loss, yes I'm a fatboy, I already notice my pants are not as tight. I have changed my eating habits also, no more pizza or fast food. Straight up veggies, protein, and fruits, and a ton of water. Thank you for loading this up. After I master this, I am moving on the the 30 min version, then I'm going to buy a heavy bag and start that. Thanks again, dude.

@@NateBowerfitness I will dude. Had a great session today, was able to push farther, I know it's only 20 minutes but I am really out of shape. I am glad of the progress I am making every day. Thanks again Nate!
