Some will disagree, but I would say start with season 4, episode 3, "The Pitch." The first two episodes of season 4 might be weird to jump into. Go from there, and if you enjoy it, then go back and watch the earlier stuff. Season 4 seems to be when they really hit their stride.

Just got done watching “The Cigar Store Indian." That episode was on fire. So many heaters and fast-paced. I mean, season five was really a lot of heat. Elaine really started looking beautiful in the next few episodes, though of course she already was. She began to look so French, as she really is. All the way through season nine she just got more attractive. The women that they got on that show with the jokes and acting was just something special. I know that’s random, but it’s just what I was doing and I know you guys are Seinfreaks. Great pod.

My dad's friend just told me this story where he met Jerry Stiller in Alaska and gave him a bunch of canned salmon and told him he liked his jacket. So Jerry Stiller told him that he would give him the jacket but his wife bought it for him and so she'd be mad. So later he went to New York and Jerry Stiller took him shopping for a jacket like his, but they could find one so Jerry Stiller just gave him his.

We can all recommend great episodes to see if you really wanna be sure you like it 😂 ‘The Opposite’ and ‘The Note’ are GREAT eps! I could laugh at those every time 😀 ‘The Note’ was based on a real-life experience that Larry David had, and ‘The Soup Nazi’ was also based on a real guy! I even met a guy once at a small restaurant that might have been the owner and he reminded me of the Soup Nazi character 😆 Another fave’ ep of mine is ‘The Wink’!

I once had a conversation with Jerry Seinfield; he was at a Porsche show in Hershey PA around 1999. I was 14 years old, a big fan of Seinfield, and his show had just ended. Jerry had entered the event as my father and I were leaving. I was just young enough to have the confidence (or lack of self awareness) to yell out "Hey Jerry!" He turned, looked at me and, and not knowing what to say next I just said "you're pretty funny!" His response, delivered in the classic Jerry tone and cadence, was to shrug and say "Me? No." and he kept walking. To this day, best conversation of my life.

The Shakey Mohel actor died a couple years ago in a bizarre way. His car was found in the wilderness in the Pacific Northwest with his dog dead in it - and they found his body later partially eaten by wild animals in a canyon or ravine or something. I remembered it because I follow a lot of Seinfeld accounts on Instagram, and because the death was really weird.

My favorite real-life-to-TV-joke of all time: A male network executive named Kim denied an episode idea for Community season 3 that Dan Harmon (the show runner) really wanted. To get the executive back, Dan made an entire storyline in S3E13 (“Digital Exploration of Interior Design”), where Jeff gets a letter from Kim, and he thinks it’s a girl. It always makes me laugh: an entire storyline just for the punchline that Kim is a girl’s name…all to get back at an executive denying a show idea.

Nate did talk a lot this episode. And then when Nate said they were wrapping up the episode, Mark tried to squeeze in all the points and thoughts he had been holding onto while Nate had been talking- kind of like the guy at the end of the commercials trying to squeeze in all the "terms and conditions apply spiel."😂

Just saw Mark last night, it was one of the best shows ever. He is not only hilarious, but was spitting genius insights.

Gonna be weird to hear a clean Mark Normand but I'm here for it. Let's see if he can't get through it.

I don’t know why but my brain read the title as “ft Norm McDonald” and for a split second I thought we were getting a final gem from him before his departure.
