Just got done watching “The Cigar Store Indian." That episode was on fire. So many heaters and fast-paced. I mean, season five was really a lot of heat. Elaine really started looking beautiful in the next few episodes, though of course she already was. She began to look so French, as she really is. All the way through season nine she just got more attractive. The women that they got on that show with the jokes and acting was just something special. I know that’s random, but it’s just what I was doing and I know you guys are Seinfreaks. Great pod.

I once had a conversation with Jerry Seinfield; he was at a Porsche show in Hershey PA around 1999. I was 14 years old, a big fan of Seinfield, and his show had just ended. Jerry had entered the event as my father and I were leaving. I was just young enough to have the confidence (or lack of self awareness) to yell out "Hey Jerry!" He turned, looked at me and, and not knowing what to say next I just said "you're pretty funny!" His response, delivered in the classic Jerry tone and cadence, was to shrug and say "Me? No." and he kept walking. To this day, best conversation of my life.

My favorite real-life-to-TV-joke of all time: A male network executive named Kim denied an episode idea for Community season 3 that Dan Harmon (the show runner) really wanted. To get the executive back, Dan made an entire storyline in S3E13 (“Digital Exploration of Interior Design”), where Jeff gets a letter from Kim, and he thinks it’s a girl. It always makes me laugh: an entire storyline just for the punchline that Kim is a girl’s name…all to get back at an executive denying a show idea.
