I decided to rescue a dog and started watching your videos 2 weeks ago. I brought home a 2ish yr old pit mix. I started lightly working with her right away whenever she was interested in getting treats. That was Sunday. Now on Wednesday she just nailed the heel spin on hand signals. She’s also gotten sit, down, crate, and circle. You’re method really works and she’s happy to do the short exercises. We finish with her favorite toy and she proudly runs around teasing me with it. I’m sure that you get these stories a lot, but I couldn’t help writing this. Thanks for helping me build up Ruby’s confidence and helping me get her settled into her new home. She has quite a way to go to learn exactly what a continuation and terminal marker is, but we’re just having fun with anything beyond her basic behaviors. We’ve got the time. Thanks

As my Corgi pup is now just over 1 year, I knew we were beyond most of what would be presented. However, I was also absolutely sure there would be helpful, important tips in the content. And that was certainly the case. Even though I have made newbie mistakes in my training of him, I am sure I can go back and tighten things up. Yes, it would have been better if I had not made those mistakes at all, but I am still learning along with Rusty and we will contrive to up our game....and have fun doing it. Thanks again, Nate, for a wonderfully helpful video. Really enjoy Bethany and her no nonsense approach.

Hi nate, I want to ask you something. I'm training my 9 years old GSD for k9 competion. I'm facing problem with distanced controll even though I spend most time to it. The problem is, she keep standing up when I make her sit or down. How can I fix her behavior?

You don’t have to use treats to teach a dog their name, but you can if you like. It’s just not something I usually do. 😁

These very long when going to puppy course is why i stopped going. Way too long. Way too many words while you are also concentrating on your puppy at the same time and him wanting to pull or play with other puppies. He soon starts pulling and wanting to wander and you no longer listen to the trainer. Why so many words and so long explaining. Shorthen explanations by at least 70%. Give these long explanations in class as theory, when puppy not there!
