Well, one was a present and ongoing concern. The other was a settled issue. Also, when someone (anyone) is currently under threat from others over some action attributed to them, even if they 100% guilty it isn't normal to express passion over that action. You don't validate people who are looking for an excuse to mess with you.

@somexp123 жыл бұрын
He kept a similar tone throughout, so not sure about that. He simply spent more time on the former because (1) that was the subject of the interview and (2) it had more objective and subjective elements to discuss than the simple act of dropping a baby did. Anyhow, showing a substantial amount of emotion over his son would be used to validate what inmates were doing to him. In his place, I doubt you would do that.

I've worked with and counseled ex-cons for years. I saw this entire episode and this guy is a typical, self deceptive con. Most convicts are NOT sociopathic, but this guy, in my opinion, is. He might be a gentle man with severe emotional and mental issues. I'd bet a million dollars that he "accidently" killed the child in a rage and now regrets it. He's telling the story as how he WISHES it was, but self deception is still a lie when you look at the situation realistically...

Bruh, fam said he dropped his kid but he told the detective his son fell off the couch, and he said his son fractured the back of his head but the report said he fractured both SIDES of his head, collapsed his right lung, and possibly fractured his rib. That's not likely from just being dropped from like 4 to 5 feet from someones arms or off a couch... I remember being in my basement lifting weights b4 bed while my fiance was breast feeding our daughter. Suddenly I head a thud upstairs (we also had hardwood floors) and it sounded like someone dropping a 20lb weight on the floor. I ran upstairs faster than the tasmania devil and my fiance accidentally let our 9month old daughter roll off the bead and fall to the floor. Luckily she was fine. But it's been 6 years since that happened, and every single time I hear a thud or loud noise of something dropping it brings me back to that day and gives me major PTSD.

Accidentally dropping a child onto a hardwood floor would be very unlikely to fracture its skull; it might make a temporary bump, but that's it. In addition, babies heal as fast as they grow. No. For all this to happen, he would have had to grab the child (his son's name was Hunter) by the ankles, and totally slam the child's head into the pavement a few times! And the prison veterans just don't like things like that! o:'-(

He would have left it at "when I came to it was over". There's a difference in being conscious when being raped and being knocked out. When knocked out you know you were violated when come to, but that's it. When you are conscious every agonizing second of the moment(s) plays through you head at once and that's exactly what his eyes were showing when reflecting back to "IT"

I researched the case, from what I've read its hard to argue that he did not shake and abuse his child. The injurys that his son sustained indicated that it was more than just the child falling from the couch. I, at least cannot say for sure what happend only the almighty knows, but the story did not add up. I don't like to judge people, its not my place. So perhaps he got what he deserved, maybe there is some portion missing from the investigation to exonerate him, dunno.

The prison system seems to always be based on power being put in the hands of individuals and the hate that is associated with that power between convicts and correctional staff. Idealistically, the penitentiary is meant for inmates to reflect on their crimes and to reform themselves, but the failure of that purpose seems to persist the majority of the time which is a shame.
@coimbralaw Жыл бұрын
Nothing about the victims, eh?
@yunustan7502 Жыл бұрын
@@coimbralaw You have a good point. The victims are the most valuable part of these injustices. But nothing can be done for the victims now. They are in a place where their attackers could not harm them anymore. The hope is that one day there will be a resurrection and judgement that religions claim. Where the truth behind everything is unveiled which is what the apocalypse suggests. But there are convicts that can still seek some sort of redemption. The point of the penitentiary is for convicts to find some sort of penitence.
