I like that you let the people tell their own stories with subtitles instead of someone doing a voice over translation while the person is talking.

I also prefer this. Dubbing over them takes away from them. It takes away from their language and just them as a person imo.

Jambo! This was a joy and brought me back. I summited Kilimanjaro with 10 other women in June 2023. It took a small city of guides, cooks and porters (including some women) to shepherd us safely on our journey. It was tough(!) and we couldn't have done it without our incredible support team. I frequently marveled at their strength, endurance and grace. They bolstered us with beautiful Swahili song on the best and roughest of days. One of the women porters aspired to become a guide so that she could better support her family. This is a higher paying role that requires school, training and, essentially, an internship. After the trip, my fellow travelers and I were able to raise enough funds to support her tuition and books. She successfully completed the program and is now working as a guide. :)

A very long time ago, when I was 14 and in the Boy Scouts, me and a bunch of other guys with adult leaders went to Philmont Scout Ranch. We took on next to the longest course with 45lb packs for 7 days hiking through mountains and canyons and switchbacks and jeep trails. It was at times brutal, but when your 14 you have the mindset to do anything. More recently, after 6 years of recovering from heart surgery I walked up Sugarloaf mountain. Only a 1/2 mile walk up stones path and then stone stairs, but I struggled greatly to reach the top but make it to the top I did! It was a great feeling of accomplishment when I turned that corner in my life. Eva, you are a true inspiration. Thank you for all you do and congratulations on this feat of sheer willpower, you rock!

The womans story sounds very inspiring. They have a deeper purpose beyond anything, which kept them going. They had such a deep drive to succeed because their children's livelihood depended on their persistence, their perseverance, their drive, their aches and pains. I'm glad that the women are proving others wrong, that they can do this physically and mentally demanding job. The women here are a true inspiration that women can do whatever they put their minds to accomplish. Its a very inspiring story with many lessons for all viewers alike.

I have been using the word, "impressive", since I started following Eva on her adventures. That word has become increasingly inadequate. The young ladies teaching Eva are simply amazing. Guests do this as a 'once in a lifetime' event. These ladies continually do it as a job.

Oh Eva this episode was full of wild raw feminine power! WOW! The women porters are so resilient and strong, and so are you. This series was packed FULL of incredible learnings and beautiful footage. In this episode Eva I most enjoyed near the end where you shared your emotions with us and how you were feeling. It is a extremely captivating way to rein in your beloved followers to witness your struggles within this challenge. I climbed Queen Mave's Carin in County Slingo Ireland last June after not being able to be on my feet for 10 weeks due to sciatica and piriformis, it was SO hard for me. I can't imagine attempting something so grand as Kilimanjaro. I know I commented on each episode and shared why I enjoyed them, and @Nat Geo responded to my last comment on the last episode, but I thoughrly enjoyed this entire series so much, and do so hope Nat Geo will want to have you host more.

This was a great video! I love your opening remarks about ‘some of the strongest people don’t go to the gym and don’t look how you expect.’ Brilliant! 🤯 I also love how the women dressed normally 🤷🏻‍♀️ not with hi tech gear, just what they have. In the west we get so carried away with how we look that we forget about the simplicity of just doing the act, rather than looking like we do it. It’s about the power of the person. 👏🏻 great job Eva 👍🏻 you’re tough!

Hello Eva: I think this vlog is my favourite of the Superskilled series so far. I have so much admiration for those female porters, they are so focused on why they are doing what they do; i.e. to educate their children. They don't look like super fit people, the Raramuri didn't look like long distant runners (in full length skirts); looks can be so deceptive. I thought you maybe didn't need prayer from me; now I'm sure you do. Pete Glyde
