Several years ago I spent the night at my grandparent's house and was messing with an old radio. This song played after a minute and my Grandma asked me about the song. I don't fully remember what she asked, but I remember her liking it. That seems like a silly, unimportant memory, but whenever I hear this song I'm always reminded of it. I don't even think she listened to the full song or even said more than "I like it." But her passion for music and life just seems to reverberate back into my mind every single time I hear this. Miss you Grandma

The way the bass guitar is mixed in this song ties everything together, and it provides an unbroken thread. But, it also leaves plenty of space for the lead vocal and the story the vocalist tells. The result is amazing. Not many bands achieve this kind of balance.
