I don’t have 4c hair, I’m Indian so if its not damages its 3b-3c and my sister is legit 4a! This channel helped me so much with my hair. After watching for two years I am finally confident about my hair and whatever you suggested has made my hair so healthy and long! Thank you Aunty you a real one 💗 I really appreciate black youtubers for teaching me to love and care for my hair because I live in Malaysia and the only place that knows my hair is a Nigerian salon I go to and these KZbin videos continuously dropping knowledge 😍 I hated my hair back in school because no one had it around me and the few black friends I had felt the same even though I loved their tight curls. In school we would be called messy or told we had lice, it was horrible. I was lucky my mum was friends with this beautiful Nigerian lady (love you Aunty Pat) her daughter was my friend in school and let me tell you when Aunty Pat braided our hair, we were like twins but different ethnicities and everyone was jealous yall 😂❤️ and now after years it a “trend” so its socially okay but back then it was messy. Our society is so toxic. Lots of loveeee to my curly haired sisters x

Girl! I've been pre-pooing with oil for the past year or so and have seen some nice growth and retention on my hair but didn't understand exactly why. Drop that knowledge! Thank you for the infusion of common sense!
@CCC94378 жыл бұрын
I prepoo with the curl hydration conditioner (tressemme) and coconut oil. I tried just using coconut oil but it made my hair soooo dry. It was like it was blocking all the moisture out. The combination of the two makes my hair so soft and moisturized that I barely have any tangles. Also a note I may be the only natural that doesn't care about shrinkage. I think its cool that we can try out a short style one day then stretch it and try a longer style the next
@RahimahUnwrapped8 жыл бұрын
Cyu Hen You're not alone, I love shrinkage!! I remember a while back when I washed my hair and it shrunk and my mom and sister thought I cut my hair, then I came back with it blow dried and they amazed. Shrinkage really is awesome, it's of the reasons why I love having 4c hair! 👌🏾

Dear Nappy fu, I have been natural for three years and over the years I have seen great growth in my hair but always felt something was off. Your videos have seriously helped me to understand my natural hair and I swear I pre-poo'd for the first time and it was life changing! My hair has never been this soft and supple after a shampoo or co-wash or clarifying rinse (I use an ACV rinse as I've found my hair thrives on natural products) It's even softer than its ever been EVEN when I've deep conditioned. Thanks to your channel I feel like I'm on my way to healthy hair that doesn't grow just to break. I have so much hope and cannot stress enough how there is always room to learn in anything you do in life, and I thank you Nappy fu for this education. BTW I love when you speak in your Nigerian accent! As a fellow African Westerner my soul really connects to what you're saying. So happy to have found this channel. Thank you again!

my hair hates coconuts oil used alone. it makes my hair hard and crunchy. now, if I use it with conditioner things work wonderfully. I apply coconut oil and then apply conditioner, let it sit for as long as it takes to to gather all my wash day supplies and then I detangle and rinse and carry on with the rest of my process (if I don't detangle at this step...so many tangles!). I've been using at least just conditioner before shampooing for years and my hair thrives with this method. I actually stopped doing my hair this way for a brief moment and there was a definite/bad difference in the quality of my hair.

I won't lie, I'm shocked at how huge of a difference there is in your hair's behavior, between the two products. I generally shampoo with a sulfate-free cleanser, and apply leave-in conditioner and an oil-moisturizer. That routine has been working for me but after your demonstration, I will probably try the oil-based pre-poo, in addition to my norm, to find out if my hair stays moisturizer and/or softer longer. Thanks for the demonstration.

I try to tell my people. Example....I had to do my mother's hair and it was super matted, like it was locking up (6months worth). She kept screaming at me to put conditioner in it to make it soft to detangle. I was like no...conditioner was like adding glue paste to the matted mess and would make it impossible to work with. I told her to chill while I put a grip of coconut oil on those roots. I was able to slide those hairs out of the matting, saving her length and it even broke up all the months of product and shed hair build up.Your welcome mom. Thank you for making this video.

Let me tell you something: Your channel has been a Godsend! This is my 3rd time watching this video, so I had to comment. I have NEVER pre-pooed. I traditionally just did the conditioner thing weekly and shampooed my hair every 4th/5th week. I felt it worked, but I noticed I was using a leave in detangling conditioner before styling. But GIRL! Let me tell you: I started pre pooing (with a mix of Jamaican castor oil and EEOV) and IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference, ESPECIALLY when I had to shampoo. Hair was soft, and it was MANAGEABLE!

I developed a sensitivity to various chemicals that are found in most shampoos, soaps, lotions, etc, so I tried Argan Life shampoo and conditioner and it's great! It doesn't irritate my skin at all. I love the smells.

Wow! I've been prepooing with conditioner all this time! Switching to coconut oil this wash day and I'll see how my hair likes it.
