I ended up accidentally bringing moths home when I got some grain from the feed store 🙃 they have since taken over my home and are eating anything with cotton in it. I've moved apartments entirely and I'm still finding them here and there. I hate these little things and I hate moth balls too.

For large Miller moths my grandfather made a double cone out of aluminum screening where the top cone had a exposed light bulb with a cord at the top, and the inner cone that had a much more acute angle and had a small 1-in hole at the apex. They shared the same base diameter and were assembled together the smaller inside the larger. You simply hung it from the light cord and the moths would flock to the light crawling through that small hole but then get trapped between the two cones. I can't remember how he emptied it, but I think he had some fairly easy way to separate the two or he had a slice down the large screen that he closed with duct tape. He's trapped hundreds upon hundreds. And then he put it up in the shed until next season...

Lavender Method surface cleaner in the purple bottle works great for spraying moth down enough to kill them and flush them down the toilet. They are so annoying literally 🙄. You can find the spray in Harris Tetter and major grocery stores. The key is wetting the moths wings and when the drop, you act fast. This spray won’t bleach your clothes or furniture either, so that’s a plus.

OMG! Vacuum 7 days? Do you know how hard that is when you have stuff all over the place? I'm kind of lazy but I'm trying to deal with a few tiny moths that come out at night, not in the kitchen but in other rooms. Not a lot but one or 2 or 3 a night. It's soooo annoying. I try to catch them but one second they are flying right in front of you and then all of sudden they disappear, then they fly right by you again. I've been vacuuming but not every day. It's hard moving furniture and stuff around to get under them. Is Lavender Essential oil bad to use as well? I use it just to make the room smell good sometimes. I hate those little moths. They seem to come out right at the end of the cold season as it starts to get warm outside and when the windows are still closed. Great video BTW. Very good info. Thank you!

Even with a insect-pested house moths keep making their way in. One day I was so annoyed that I sprayed it and the moth fell to the ground and I ran it over with a wheel. It was the 2nd biggest relief I ever got since these moths keep coming in my house I had finally killed the last one. And guess what, it came back I was so confused because it was the same exact one (I recognized it. It wasn’t another one with the same kind it was the same one!) I sprayed it down again and ran it over with a wheel 40 times. And it’s back. I use Reddit’s techniques and moths are coming way more now. I got an electric bat and I saw moth and I tried to kill it and it disappears into thin air. I put it into a jar and wait for it to suffocate. Now that it’s dead I took the jar off then it started flying again :( I used the jar once more and left it there even if it looked dead and it’s no longer in there I check the jar because it disappeared in the jar and again. It flew back and came to annoy me. I tried ignoring it but it keeps annoying me I try to use fragrance that moths hate -Lavender Are these even moths it didn’t work. Moths are after -light sources -carbon dioxide (people exhale carbon dioxide after inhaling oxygen) -flower smells

We got our brand new couch out of storage when we moved, that was shrink wrapped, we have been INFESTED since, it’s been 3 years! I cry all the time, they’re are all different kinds of moths, big ones, little ones, our kitchen food is secure, now EVERYTHING IS INFESTED, we have bought new mattresses TWICE, the munching of the caterpillar stage keeps me up at night, when they run thru the hallway to get to the couch you can hear the, the hawk ones, we have tried everything, I am ready to burn our dream house down! I no longer know what to try as we have spent thousands, if you sit on any form of couch/bed you can feel them I don’t know if they are mating or caterpillars are munching. I don’t know what to do. I am terrified of them! 😢 😭🥹 Suggestion’s?

Forgot to add they are YEAR ROUND! We live in Virginia, we have hardwood floors, I vacuum the couches all the time, I have been sitting on any piece of furniture and heard a RIP underneath, the couches, our mattresses, when we got rid of our first set of brand new mattresses the boxsprings had several long even lines of rips from one side to the other of the entire boxsprings, my DH and his friend were moving the boxsprings out to dispose of, they were talking about how “light these boxsprings are!” They got them outside and the moths had eaten almost all the cotton or what’re fabric is in boxsprings thru those rips I’m guessing is how they entered. It took less than 3 months. I am at the end of my rope. We have tried a million traps, caught many, essential oils, I had no idea they were bad, expensive fresh and dried lavender you are correct, they LOVE them, cloves, cinnamon, killed ourselves with mothballs. I need help or I’m going to lose my mind! My DH is like “we are going to have to live with it at this point! I don’t know how they’re getting in or what to do!”
