Amazing!! The Gibbons realize he’s a baby and are so gentle and very careful. I think it’s incredible that mom of one species trusts another species with her baby! I don’t think I’ve seen or heard of that.

Innoway I just love apes and monkeys….. and another way, I absolutely just despise them, and think they’re exceedingly disgusting and gross and despicable. For example when you see Bonobo‘s perverse actions, or macaques playing with themselves constantly, and trying to put their penises on each other‘s back‘s constantly, or chimpanzee, beating brutally the female that he just engaged in copulation with. That sort of thing. Sometimes it makes a person feel like they should all be extinct for those type of reasons. But they’re part of God‘s creation so, it’s a good thing we keep trying to prevent extinction

I don't understand why Orangutans are solitary animals. At least not the females. As shown in this video, the mother Orang with a baby got along well with Gibbons. Why not with other Orangs? In fact, the female Orangs got along fine in sanctuaries. They will fight for food but in general, they enjoy playing and learning together. If they can do that in the wild and they have the ability to learn from one another, they will develop a culture and advance much faster as a species.

I'm gonna guess because they have less weight to throw around when moving in trees; they probably get most of their strength from tendon joints attached further down their arms, thus allowing more leverage
