Have you seen that weird stomach thing yogis do & have been trying to figure it out? Here's your instructional video on how to do NAULI KRIYA - which is a cleansing technique to remove toxins.
A few things to note:
-This is for more advanced yogis who are comfortable with breath retention.
-You want to do this on an empty stomach, preferably first thing in the morning, after you've pooped and before you eat anything.
-Please avoid this if you are pregnant/menstruating, have hypertension, or any gastrointestinal issues.
Here are some of the Nauli Kriya Benefits:
-massage of the internal organs such as the stomach, liver, spleen, urinary bladder, pancreas, gall bladder, and large and small intestine to improve their function - digestion/ elimination of toxins will be on point
-it helps the body stoke the digestive fires
-stimulates the manipura (first) chakra, which is great for increasing mental clarity, boosts metabolism, and strengthens the immune system
-gives you a boost of energy
-allows you to access your abdominal muscles for your physical yoga practice (my handstand / arm balance practice improved because of this)
What is kriya?
A 'kriya is a set of practices in yoga that are usually breath control techniques and exercises. In Sanskrit it means "completed action."
To follow proper kriya yoga technique take things in stages, find a qualified yoga teacher (I do online private classes), and be as consistent with your practice as much as possible.

Started doing Nauli when I was in school in 1970 watching Dhirendra brahamchari on TV. Forgot about it till I saw Ramdev on TV in 2005 ,35 years later. Biggest surprise first attempt after 35 years and I was doing it again. Your body remembers it like cycling, does not forget. Have put my video on KZbin Rajeshkhuranatimpac. At 64 age love it and energy it gives you. Someone with fractured spine it is big support👍

I did it the very first time I tried it. I think that anyone with a small belly has the ability to do it. It’s not the training of muscles, but rather your anatomical position. It’s like you want to draw a straight line of bone support for your body, from the feet, to knees/hands, elbows to shoulders, all in a straight line. And now the abdominal cavity can get loosened up. Two or three people have done it on their first try after explaining the above. May luck be with you.

It is incomplete learning practice without practising left, right and middle nauli , applying restricted pressure on the knees with the hands. So please update your video. After you are able to practise left, right and middle nauli, you should rotate nauli clockwise and anti clockwise by applying pressure from one hand and releasing the other hand at the same time and then making alternate movements of hands and rotating the nauli by focussing the moment on the abdominal muscles. THANKS

Dope! Thanks for this- I’ve seen people do this on IG but never really knew what it was for. What inspired you to be so dedicated to learn this kirya? I have intense periods would this help regulate my cycle?
@Xandrine
@Xandrine 6 жыл бұрын
I really wanted to learn this as I knew it would improve my physical practice. What I was really looking to learn was uddiyana bandha which is the first step and my motivation was so that I can float in my transitions, feeling light & weightless as well as nail those tough arm balances and inversions I was working on. To regulate your cycle I would definitely recommend regular yoni steams, which I'll be making a video on soon. I'll keep you posted on that one, thanks for your comment. xx

I wish i could do this in the morning after evacuating but i mostly evacuate in the middle of the day after lunch and i'm not comfortable in the morning because of trapped gaz. I'm vegan , eating a healthy plant based non processed food, i drink 3 litres of water a day, i walk, and still i can't evacuate in the morning like i'd want to. So is it ok to still try to do this in the morning along with my qi gong? Also, these exercices you do make me lightheaded.....Is that normal? Thanks.
