Naval Units Statistics, Pros & Cons - Red Alert 2 [YR]

In this video you can have see and compare the statistics of all the naval units in the game. Those statistics are explained below.
Cost: How many resources a unit needs.
Build Time: How much time a unit needs to be recruited.
Tier: There are 3 tiers in the game. The higher the tier the more structures a unit requires in order to be available for training.
Tier 1 are units that are available without building anything else rather than the Barracks.
Tier 2 usually require Airport/Radar/Psychic radar
Tier 3 usually require a Battle Lab.
Damage: The amount damage of a unit deals per hit.
Attack Range: The maximum range of a unit that it can attack from. Cooldown: The time a unit needs to re-attack again. The lower the number, the faster the unit attacks.
Hit points: The health of a unit.
Armor: The type of armor a unit has. There are three types of armor for naval. Light and Heavy
Sight Range: How far a unit can see.
Speed: The move-speed of a unit.
Some units have also some extra abilities like self-heal. A list of pros and cons is also shown in the video which may offer some valuable information.
I can't be sure that every single stat is correct but for the most part they must be right. Many thanks to the user "TAK02" for helping a lot with providing some valuable stats.

The boomer does have two cons: it is expensive and slow to build, and it is the only offensive navel unit in Yuri's forces.

The fact that it's the only naval unit in Yuri's Arsenal is not a con of the boomer but a con to Yuri as a faction. The expensive and slow build time has to go with the unit's strength. Since Boomer is a powerful naval unit it must be expensive and to have a slow build time to balance it's strength.

Yes, but it is a weakness as your only combat navel unit. It also lacks anti-air capabilities. I agree that it is a great unit for it's price tag, but it is not without flaws. Yuri needed a good tier 1 combat unit for his navy, something he could field quickly to counter allied destroyers and soviet subs in the early game.

@@ratleader90 yes, something like that. Yuri has no tier 1 navel unit, nor does he have an AA navel unit. While a boomer can win 1 v 1 against any soviet or allied ship, you can build 3 tier 1 ships for the price tag of it

Aegis, the most OP anti air unit, its like having 5 anti air into a floating turret. Elite status will probably stop 10 kirovs before reaching your base

Boomer being the only naval of Yuri is not a con of Boomer but of Yuri faction overall. The fact that it can not attack air units is also a problem Yuri faction has to face.

Yuri's navy is the best at offshore bombardment but the worst at head on naval battles. Destroyers and Submarines will always beat Boomers because they outnumber them 2 to 1.

I love the aegis so much. Kirovs are such a goddamn chore to deal with otherwise. Once you get them to full rank, there's very little that aircraft can do against it besides fly away

Boomer itself doesn't have cons but Yuri's doesn't have tier 1 naval unit (who can attack of cause) , If you play in naval map Yuri will have a hard time to build shipyard and protect it in early game

are you sure the boomers can't be squidded ? maybe i'm confusing with the dreadnought, but they just need to be surfaced right ? if you shoot at is with a sub that forces them to surface, then the squid can latch on. but then it doesn't prevent the boomer from firing missiles. but on the other hand there is an entire extention i didn't know of apparently...

Also, there's another stolen tech unit called the Salamander, its basically a flying chaos drone that has the amount of anti air arsenal as 2 aegis cruise ships that's very effective against buildings. Everything under that monster will be under the chaos state, ignoring orders from the player who they belong from and will attack each other

Those are due to resolution of the game/recoding software. It is common with old games due to them almost never supporting 16:9.
