What is the best way to Fill and bleed the air out of this unit? My setup is exactly like this one except i have 2 zones and am also using the auto fill valve with back flow built into the unit.

Trades guy here in Michigan, I've been considering doing this recently. I'm pretty versed in electrical and plumbing but not licensed in either. My skill level shouldn't be a problem but I'm no plumbing design guy that's for sure. My question is about the vent pipe. I saw somewhere about because of the water condensing exhaust it could not use old chimney vents? It would be great if I could for mine. 2ndly I have a circulator pump for hot water return from the kitchen sink and curious how I might tie that back in on a combi boiler

The venting runs off the sidewall and the combustion air comes through the chimney. The new combi boilers will support domestic recirculation has terminal for recirculation pump built into the boiler. Some venting manufacturers make polypropylene liners so you can reuse the existing chimney for the boiler

is your house over 3000sf. that's a big boiler

@@MiHeatingGuy 1600 square feet. Cast iron Radiators. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath. I’m outside of Philly. Currently have a New Yorker with summer/winter hookup from the mid 90’s. That and my oil tank are on its last leg so we are trying to get ahead up it.

I wouldn't size that any bigger than 80000 Btu's. Sounds like They are selling something you don't need. NCB-240/110 would be the biggest I would go. Good luck 👍

Old boiler "from the 80s" - that's over 30 years. You'd be lucky to only install two new Naviens in that time period. Now do your math on savings.

Nice looking install! What they are talking about is defective heat exchangers that Navien refuses to acknowledge. Guarantee if you went back and sprayed heat exchanger with soap and water it will leak.

@@MiHeatingGuy Great response I have been installing Navien for about 15 years and the best tech support team ever. They are more than generous with their warranty replacements and so many times the vent terminations are incorrect leaking back into the venturi but they still send out a new unit. The best by far. Thanks for the video. I prefer the Taco zone valve with the 501 for each zone for multiple pumps. It helps isolate the issue per zone for me easier. Looks good. RB

I've been installing navians for 12 years I don't understand what people are talking about you I've never ran into the problems that they're stating And there warranty is more than spectacular Had a unit out of warranty and they still Warranty it out Tech Support is amazing. If the units installed right you shouldn't have many problems at all I think within the last 3 years I've installed installed over 75 units and went back on two
