It’s not special operations training … it’s from basic training … it’s called “Warrior Week” for us oldies and “BEAST” week for the “younglings” … it’s generic AEF deployment training for interoperability purposes with other branches. It’s so you could actually count on an airman somewhat to know what they need to do in a deployed environment with other branches. Basically, if army were to yell pick up your shit and shoot back asshole … the airman might actually do it out of habit.

Yes, depending on your specialty, prior to deployment, an Airmen would attend CST or FC-H. So to better prepare for ground combat, outside RQS/STS/ASOS & BDG most Airmen do not conduct these tasks.

I transferred to the Air Force from the marine corps and the put me thru pipe liner school from the stories the kids told me about “beast” being the hardest thing they did in they’re Boot Camp. They told me that they regret joining the Air Force after graduation and even said the army would’ve been more fun and eventful as well as fulfilling than the airforce experience. When I tell you I regret joining the Air Force, I REGRET IT!

23 years USAF retired. I have never seen this type of training while on duty. I mean...AF is never on the front line, with the exception of Special Ops. I worked on the MH 53 Pave Low out of Hurlburt Field...the Air Crew would engage in combat. I would be in nice hotel, working out of a Hanger at a nice Airport. So, I don't know WTF this fuckery is about. Complete waste of money! Embarrassing...
