Why does Nick (Never) Wright even look at the stats. He just blurts things out with no evidence: "LeBron is more clutch." He knows he's wrong but he's just testing the fans. Lebron defers to others in clutch Mo Ents rsmember kyrie shot to beat warriors. Or lebrons pass to an open teammate that clanked off rim agsinst same warriors when he had an open shot. All were on full display for every one yo see. There are so many different moments where there are posters in different playoff games where Jordan hit the winning shot! He's the guy thats sealing up all of the gaps on broken plays. He makes plays out of nothing. VERY fun guy to watch and root for. I'd love for him to get away from having to play with LeBron. He reminds me of a '60s or '70s player, with his rubbery game; not unlike Pistol Pete (or Henry Steele in the movie "One on One" from 1977). This guy is a total winner. I'm not sure that LeBron has ever played with a guy that has this kind of IQ. He's more than his numbers. A rare teammate that doesn't get beat down by LeBron; he let's LeBron get on him yet he improves (like he's oblivious)! I doubt that LeBron recognizes how good this guy is (or he's pretending not to notice), and how fortunate he is to him being there the whole time. It sounds like hyperbole, but it really isn't. In the '07 & 2015 finals ... and honestly even in the 2014 finals Lebron's 4th qtr points were meaningless because he LOST and lost decisively. This is where he started putting HIS STATS over the teams wins/losses. Before losing in record fashion to the Spurs in 2014 I actually felt that any numbers he put up were genuinely just a byproduct of team specific goals. However, once it became clear that he probably wasn't going to win, that's where the stat padding begins. and still continues to this day...

Exactly. The younger gen needs to remember to, How many NBA championships did Jordan lose?? The answer is a big fat 0. He's a perfect 6-0 in the game's biggest dance. Funny how haters like Isaiah, Barkley, Shaq ect. never seem to mention this incredible fact. They like to propel Lebron's game with the "bigger, stronger, faster" stuff. Or that he'd won in multiple cities. And part of that reason is because Lebron's willing to walk away from good teams to go ring chasin' with more expensive talent elsewhere.

@cyber6sapien Жыл бұрын
Being clutch is also way more than the final minutes or final quarter of a game. It's also WHEN you make shots throughout the ENTIRE game. It's easy to pad your stats when your team is way ahead or being blown out by the opponent. Jordan was able to make shots when it mattered the most. He would usually be the only player to score consistently when the team really needed a bucket. When it was time to make a shot for the Bulls to either maintain a lead or erase a deficit. He would make shots in the exact moment when the momentum was about to shift in favor of the opponent. Also, many people remember the three point shot that sealed the deal for the Bulls in the 1993 Finals. But what most people don't remember is that that Paxson shot were the only points scored in the fourth quarter of that game by someone other than MJ!
@Tippotipo Жыл бұрын

Jordan will always be the GOAT, no one ever played the game the way Jordan did, Jordan was a Shooting Guard Wilt Chamberlain, but unlike Wilt Jordan was a winner and the next player close to Jordan was Kobe. Lebron never played the game on both sides of the ball the way Jordan did throughout his whole career. When Lebron retired he will probably be Top 5, but to call someone who needed to stack his teams everywhere he goes since joining Miami really hurt his legacy. When Jordan played with the Bulls only 10 players were ever traded, since joining Miami Lebron’s has had 66+ teammates traded away from another All Star on his team and that’s not even counting the Draft Picks he had traded. As great of a player Lebron is Stacking the Deck in his favor really hurt his chances of being the NBA GOAT.

What Wright doesn't know is that Lebron for his career is only shooting 37% outside of 3 feet and in the playoffs that goes down to 31%. This is why you don't typically see him taking shots in the clutch because he basically has no midrange game. If he can't get to the rim he's pretty much screwed and he's not a great free throw shooter (74%). Lebron got better throughout his career in clutch moments but MJ was always there and it started at UNC when he hit that jumper to win them a national championship.

Potential Game Tying or Go-Ahead shot (final 24sec of 4th Quarter / OT in playoff) MJ / LBJ Overall 9-18 / 9-25 Clinching game 4-7 / 0-2 Facing elimination 3-3 / 0-0 NBA FINALS 4-8 / 0-7 To summarize, LeBron's clutch shot volume may seem high due to the number of games he's played, but in reality, he's been silent in important games. And while LeBron's fourth quarter scoring may seem like a lot than we expected, those who watched the game closely know the facts. For example, look at finals 2014 through 2018. Down by 10 points with 40 seconds left, he made 'three straight 2-point layups' instead of shooting 3 points shot... Klay Thompson, Iguodala, and Ginobili, all great defenders, already knows he was stat-padding and threw their hands up in the air in the closing seconds because they know they win regardless of LeBron`s funny stat padding layups lol.

Here’s the truth Jordan normally took over so much in the fourth quarter, but nine times out of 10. He didn’t need to finish the game with the clutch shot if they were down in the fourth Jordan with act a whole donkey and put the game out of reach BY HIMSELF pull up his stats in the fourth quarter when they were down in the third in big games, then do the same with LeBron and you’ll see clutch for Jordan was a whole quarter of hard play where he was the engine they got them across the finish line that’s why I don’t like using certain stats to measure clutchless because it ignores the fact that in the fourth quarter normally LeBron isn’t the issue you have to deal with but in the fourth quarter against Jordan, he most absolutely was

It is a joke to even think that LJ is the GOAT, Michael was so much more of a complete player, leader, and winner, there is and was no only like MJ in my lifetime period!
@jamesmitchell3615 Жыл бұрын
The "eye test" alone proves MJ was wayyyyyyy better clutch player than LBJ. Doesn’t mean LBJ isn't clutch, it just he's not on MJ's level in the clutch. Great video as usual bro.😎
@jodyshaw8980 Жыл бұрын
One can argue as well that lebron got more open looks in the clutch, too, where Jordan was challenged at every turn. Of Jordan had lebrons help Jordan's clutch stats would be much much higher

@Jay_draco Жыл бұрын
That’s such a casual argument. Yes MJ is better than Lebron but not Kobe. Bron averages more points, rebound, assists while having a higher FG% & 3PT%. Kobe was only the best player on 2 of those 5 finals, Lebron was the best player on all 4 of his championship teams. 4 FMVP> 2 FMVP, 4 MVP’s> 1 MVP. You’re just delusional if you think Kobe is better

You got more buzzer beaters than me simply means that you are fighting your ass off to barely win the game at the very end, while I didn't need a buzzer beater because I put the game away in the middle of the 4th quarter. The same with "game sevens", you needed one, and I didn't because I'm putting them away in 6 or 5. A better comp for buzzer beaters would be based on percentage made. Also have you noticed that mostly all of Lebron's buzzer beaters come when the game is tied, so there is no pressure on him. When they trail by 1, 2 or 3, he passes to the open man (so the pressure won't fall on him). That's when Nick Wrong and Shannon Dull, always say "it was the right play to make, but the shooter missed it". A buzzer beater when you're trailing is ten times the pressure than when you're tied. Lebron is good, but he's got most of this generation fooled on his _"level"_ of greatness.

There shouldn't be any argument about that... there's no better clutch player than Jordan, if you don't believe me, ask Pat Riley 😂

I never want to give it to him though because he is a complete tool. 5 min long flopping video of him from like 8 years ago, all the flops were in the playoffs. 6'9 dude of pure muscles 265 pounds and has that sort of mentality. Can you imagine playing a game with someone who does that? You would think so low of that person. He also has cheap shots he's given to people's ribs and faces and has said some of the dumbest things about anything and everything. Guy is a jock and plays like one. He is also a little clumsy despite his athleticism. But yeah, he was still really good inspite of being that way. If he had a better character, he'd avg 40 10 and 10 and have more championships be easily have been the greatest ever.

Are you trying to say Jordan only had 19 shots in regular season with 24 seconds left for his career?
@Ben-bs4od Жыл бұрын
Lebron is not clutch going 0-7 in the last 10 seconds of finals games while Jordan is 4 of 8. Jordan also blows him away in the final 24 seconds.In 2023, a players poll went 59% for Jordan to 33% for Lebron. Lebron could be called the biggest loser. Lost 6 of 10 finals and has a losing record of 22-33 in finals games. In 11 healthy seasons in Cleveland, Lebron won only 1 championship. In 11 healthy seasons in Chicago, Jordan won 6. He still trails Jordan by a monumental difference to make up: 2 championships. 2 Finals MVPs, 1 DFPY, 1 MVP, 4X all defense, 9X PPG and 3X steals. In the Jxmy Highroller youtube video "Asking Over 100 NBA Players Who the GOAT is, 80 picked Jordan and 30 picked Lebron. In the video "23 teammates of Lebron and Jordan pick the GOAT", 18 of 23 picked Jordan. In Johnny Arnett's video of the greatest players of all time by their best peak, Lebron comes in at seventh. Jordan never choked, was a much better defender, perhaps best in the league, a better free point thrower, actually had a mid-range shot, and played in a more difficult era. Jordan had the greatest vertical leap of all time. And the biggest hands of any top 5 player. LeBron isn’t even better than Kobe. Lebron was swept by Spurs team 07 Kobe beats them in ‘08 4-1. Lebron loses to Magic in ‘09 ECF 4-2. Kobe beats them 4-1. Lebron loses to Celtics in ‘10 ECSF 4-2. Kobe beats same team in ‘10 4-3. Jordan and Lebron aren’t in the same tier. Most stars asked don’t put Lebron in their team of 5 to win a championship. So how can he be in the same tier as Jordan? Lebron doesn’t even pass the eye test. Only Jordan, Kobe, and Dr. J do this in magical form. So who cares about your stats if no one wants to watch you play. I wouldn’t pay to watch Lebron play. Or Kareem. Unless I want to eat and sleep in their arena.
