There's only 3 players who even deserve consideration; Kobe, Shaq, Duncan. That's it. Kobe had the best overall decade even though Shaq had the most dominant stretch from 2000-2003 and was good until 2007 ish. Duncan from 2002-2005 was incredible as well but it's gotta be Kobe.

@@TruetOfficial LBJ only got 1 MVP for that decade which is just as many as KG plus again KG was better for longer in that decade. 2ndly "A.I. was a beast you trippin" ain't much of an argument. Take your emotions out of it and look at the facts and he had 1 great year and then got bounced out of the 1st and 2nd round every other year. Fell out of the best wing convo by 03(which by then was Kobe V Tmac and then later Kobe V Wade). Didn't make players better(Melo). Other star player hated playing with him(Stackhouse and Webber). If anybody should be on that list it's Wade(over both A.I. and LBJ) who won a championship and a Finals MVP on his back. Honorable mention to Dirk, Nash and Kidd.

I had Kobe, because Kobe was still the best SG in 2000 and on he wasn’t just another star, he became a superstar then. Shaq with the last 3 years of the decade wasn’t even the best center anymore. Garnett started to fall off, Nash wasn’t as huge until 2004 when he went to Phoenix. LeBron didn’t start until 2003, the only one you can argue is with Tim and Kobe because the whole 10 years they remained at the top. So it’s not too far fetched Kobe was the player of the decade, Kobe was arguably the best player up until arguably 2012-2013 season. LeBron May have passed him a season or two before that, but it’s hard to argue the dominance Kobe had, because people think Shaq carried Kobe but if you look at the stats, that’s not even nearly the case. They both dominated the game on both ends, besides Kobe was always the one to close out the game, Shaq was the main focus for the first 3 quarters.

its hard to judge...kobe was the most consistent player of the decade from 2000-2010 duncan won less rings but kobe had shaq and vice versa and shaq fell off by 2007 so i think duncan should win it...but i get why kobe won it..that 2009 title was fresh in their minds ...no one remembered prime shaq and duncan was old by 2009 so fans used that against his boring team

Kobe got my vote. The panel is tripping. Kobe, Shaq, and Duncan are the only ones in the conversation but Kobe takes it. Kobe scored the most points during the decade (21,065), second in minutes behind Dirk barely (29,476 to Dirk’s 29,734), most playoff wins of the three and tied with Shaq with 4 titles to Duncan’s 3 since the 2009-10 title is considered part of the 2010s. Definitely the most polarizing during 2000-2010. Yeah Shaq was the franchise cornerstone first 4 years but without Kobe the Lakers lose both game 7s of the 2000 and 2002 Western Conference Finals to the Blazers and Kings. 2001, when the Lakers swept through the West including the twin towers Spurs, is the only time I think he could’ve gotten out of the Western Conference without Kobe.

objectively its duncan kobe shaq cause kobe and shaq played together so in that order at their peak its shaq duncan kobe but because its individual based not really impact i say kobe shaq duncan in that order cause scoring matters the most....kobe was probably the best player of the decade all things considered but duncan had less help and shaq was the best of the three at his peak for 2 years so its tough here...hate that dirk ai wade got dissed for nash just cause of 2 mvps..smdh whose taking nash over those 3 that decade?..ok....ai is probably behind dirk and wade but that 6th player should be dirk or wade..easily

tnt is so stupid...how is nash on there over ai wade or dirk?..in what world?....i get it ai fell off a little fine but dirk and wade lol...they act like wade was carried by shaq or a super team...stop it media..he brought them back from 0-2 in the finals vs a 60 win team with a mvp candidate down 13 with 8 minutes left and they beat a 64 win pistons team with ben wallace ...to win 3 of 4 vs the pistons and 4 straight vs that mavs team without a game 7 and winning in round 2 in 5 is clutch ....people underrate how good miami was from game 5 of the first round to game 4 of the east finals they went 9-2 ....thats very hard to do without a super team that far into the playoffs
