To describe this 1969 clip as being from the "early days of Castro" is pretty much of a stretch to say the least. Castro had already been in power for more than 10 years at that time.

Considering Castro was the was the leader of Cuba from 1959 to 2008 then 1969 was a realatively early time of a long period of his reign over of Cuba.

@@rumpraisin The quote from the description was “early days of Castro”. If you want to consider 10 years after he took power as early, that’s up to you. I still say that’s a stretch.

Would you rather they sat on their precious trust fund and reinvigorate the cycle that persecutes those socio-economically beneath them ? At least theyre making an effort to understand - even if they truly wouldnt be able to. You forget both Castro and Guevara were both from wealth..

Er Mellino The wealth and inequality you whine about is no better under communism because the ruling elite live like billionaires while the rest of the people live in total poverty and stand in line for hours just to get very little food. At least in the west, the vast majority of people enjoy far superior living standards.

And how has that worked out for Cuba and every other communist nation in earth? Not a single one of them has achieved 1st world average living standards, but EVERY nation that has achieved 1st world status has free markets... That means communism is a failure.
