North east youths come to Delhi for better education and life. It shows they believe in Delhi. But they are looked down upon. It shows the low quality of Delhi. Main cause of such racial attack is the fact that the Delhi people don't know the plural culture and tradition of india. Shame on Delhi. Pliz put the history of north east in the cbse syllabus . It may eliminate racism and promote national integretion.

I know not all Indian are racist. Nor we don't want to join China. But if we keep suffering like these, isn't is obvious that we feel unsafe India, n choose alternative way like getting independent from india(just because we aren't safe here, n we find no other option since we being looked on as outsiders etc). We to are human. Whatever our original history is, we might have separate in history, but now here we stand as an indian. We seek to be treated as indian

RACISM IN AMERICA Racism in the United States has existed since the colonial era, when white Americans were given legally or socially sanctioned privileges and rights while these same rights were denied to other races and minorities. European Americans-particularly affluent white Anglo-Saxon Protestants-enjoyed exclusive privileges in matters of education, immigration, voting rights, citizenship, land acquisition, and criminal procedure throughout American history. Non-Protestant immigrants from Europe, particularly the Irish, Poles, and Italians, often suffered xenophobic exclusion and other forms of ethnicity-based discrimination in American society until the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition, groups like Jews and Arabs have faced continuous discrimination in the United States, and as a result, some people who belong to these groups are not identified as white. African Americans faced restrictions on their political, social, and economic freedom throughout much of US history. East, South, and Southeast Asians have similarly faced racism in America. Major racially and ethnically structured institutions include slavery, segregation, Native American reservations, Native American boarding schools, immigration and naturalization laws, and internment camps.[note 1] Formal racial discrimination was largely banned by the mid-20th century and over time, it came to be perceived as being socially and morally unacceptable. Racial politics remains a major phenomenon, and racism continues to be reflected in socioeconomic inequality.[note 2][2] Racial stratification continues to occur in employment, housing, education, lending, and government. In the view of the United Nations and the U.S. Human Rights Network, "discrimination in the United States permeates all aspects of life and extends to all communities of color."[3] While the nature of the views held by average Americans has changed significantly over the past several decades, surveys by organizations such as ABC News have found that even in modern America, large sections of Americans admit to holding discriminatory viewpoints. For example, a 2007 article by ABC stated that about one in ten admitted to holding prejudices against Hispanic and Latino Americans and about one in four did so regarding Arab-Americans.[4] A 2018 YouGov/Economist poll found that 17% of Americans oppose interracial marriage, with 19% of members of "other" ethnic groups, 18% of blacks, 17% of whites, and 15% of Hispanics opposing it.[5] Some Americans saw the presidential candidacy of Barack Obama, who served as president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and was the nation's first black president, as a sign that the nation had entered a new, post-racial era.[6][7] The right-wing populist radio and television host Lou Dobbs claimed in November 2009, "We are now in a 21st-century post-partisan, post-racial society."[8] Two months later, Chris Matthews, an MSNBC host, said that President Obama, "is post-racial by all appearances. You know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour."[9] The election of President Donald Trump in 2016 has been viewed by some commentators as a racist backlash against the election of Barack Obama.[10] During the 2010s, American society has continued to experience high levels of racism and discrimination. One new phenomenon has been the rise of the "alt-right" movement: a white nationalist coalition that seeks the expulsion of sexual and racial minorities from the United States.[11] In August 2017, these groups attended a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, intended to unify various white nationalist factions. During the rally, a white supremacist demonstrator drove his car into a group of counter-protesters, killing one person and injuring 19.[12][13] Since the mid-2010s, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have considered white supremacist violence to be the leading threat of domestic terrorism in the United States.[14][15] SO GO & TAKE A HELP FROM UNO N FILE COMPLAINT AGAINST RACISN COUNTRIES. U CAN NOT SAYS THAT INDIA IS A RACIST. WHY DID U CALLED ALL THE INDIANS ARE RACIST. THERE ARE MANY COUNTRIES WHERE RACISM TAKES PLACE I DO AGREE SOME PARTS OF PEOPLE MISBEHAVE NE PEOPLE SO FIRSTLY WE NEED TO CHANGE THERE MINDSET. WHOEVER IS BEHIND THE RACISM WILL BE PUNISHABLE BY THE LAW DON'T WORRY.

I m nt justifying this incident however what if I tell u that my best friend is a born and brought up in nagaland and he has tasted the racism of being a north indian there. Nido must get justice. The people coming to Delhi from other part of the country must be dealt with some sensibilities. My grandpa used to talk about a slight unacceptability of the delhi noth Indian society during the period of 1970s.. But things has changed now. Now People just don't care if we are south Indian or not, here in delhi. I think the phase of North east Indians is the same as the phase of 1970s for the south Indians. Everything will be all right but the people of delhi must know other cultures and respect them. I found it lacking in delhi. I think the lack of knowledge about the people of the north east region should be addressed in the schools and colleges. Students must taught about the people living there and cross cultural relationship management.

This guy should have fought back, once he knew he was under attack, he should have picked up a rod or something and swung out, looks like he gave up and took all the beating, sad how guys can form a gang and beat up just one boy, cowards, maybe he gave a second thought about fighting back because if someone died he will be arrested by the police for murder, very complicated situation here, have come across such incidents in the market places of chennai too, but here since this boy was a north eastener its become a racial issue, otherwise this is a very common thing in the market places anywhere in India, 10 guys or 15 will join together and beat up one guy, like in a dog fight, you need to be a real street fighter with a lot of experience if you want to fight back, this cannot be expected from an inexperienced boy like him who would have come for his studies. But this incident is an alert to others like him not to put yourself into any such ugly situation, always move around with caution, get away if you smell trouble even to a small degree, because you have much greater ambitions and goals in life and your parents are waiting to see you back home.
