Thank you from St. Louis Missouri USA. I’ve been experimenting with all kinds of these led lights. I’ve found some to be quite robust and some I have purchased twice and since our climate is quite harsh with both extremes so I’ve been applying some clear caulk to seal and keep water out . This has greatly improved the longevity . It still has a small opening or two to prevent moisture and condensation from building up . Thank you

u know how to make the lamp always on by without using their sensor?

Any idea how to remove the dim night light mode? It just drains the battery fast during the long winter nights here. Must be something on the PCB which trickles current to it in that mode.

hey that was an awesome video. i came on here looking to see what kinda battery these things had because i just bot 4 of them. It was good to see someone going into such detail about what these were made out of and i am honestly impressed and did not expect so much out of these compared to other units even more expensive ones at that. thank you for doing what you do. I only have one concern. if i ever wanted to replace the battery on these units and I am sure I will have to sooner or later would it even be worth going through the trouble to do so or is it mostly cost effective to just buy another unit when that time comes.

+Muskox The G'day! Thanks for the kind words. It's been almost a year and the light is really good and still going strong, and it's seen some harsh weather. You could easily replace the battery with some basic soldering skills if you have a spare battery handy. I probably wouldn't bother buying a new battery for it though because a new light is only $15!

The window on the PIR sensor is likely silicon or germanium, both of which are used for far-IR optical parts such as filters and lenses.

Is there any way to repair and connect one of the wires to the led’s? A wire has come off mine through the casing.
@datingsas6 жыл бұрын
Would you be able to extend the wiring from the solar panels. Say you wanted to put the solar panels outside and the light inside.

I just soldered a second panel in parallel. It works fine.

hey i need help. I don't need a motion sensor, what happens if I remove PIR directly? does it still work?
@barneybotha24375 жыл бұрын
I also don't need the motion sensor. What if the sensor is removed and the 2 connection points of the sensor is connected with a wire or solder?
