Tysm for this now i have a word for the area that causes me pain lol! 💙💙💙💙 Edit because I commented right at the start of loading the video, my partner did this for me and we realized just how deeply tense it was! In fact it made me feel the other side for the pain it had. I just couldn't notice the left side because the right side was much louder about hurting lol! My theory is it's because my chest is "gifted" we'll say, but my frame is extremely small for my age. If anyone knows other tips or good videos for tension caused by that please share lol! This one was EXTREMELY helpful. Tysm for making this guide! 💙💙💙💙💙

Great video. I've had pain in my neck for a long time and figured it was my SCM muscle. It hurts from the back of my ear to my collar bone /trapiez
@littlefeather9709 Жыл бұрын
Trap area on my left. Could not do PT. I also have DDD in my neck. So the muscle you're talking about is near the SCM. How do you know it's not a torn muscle or ligament?
@RehabScience Жыл бұрын
That area of discomfort does sound like it could be your SCM. Do you know how to find the SCM and massage it?
@littlefeather9709 Жыл бұрын
Yes, my orthopedic md seems to think its related to my c spine as its pretty messed up. They say I need an injection to see if it helps then cut the nerve giving me pain. Been to PT but it hurts more and I got headaches. Thanks for replying. I enjoy your videos.

The bit which you said is lumpy is what many feel is knotted up and restricts our neck movements. Can we have another massage techniques to ease that lump feeling please
@vinnylewis92453 ай бұрын
It's not muscle knots. There is no such thing. Muscles don't become knotted and clunked up. It's one of many fitness and health myths.

I would first address the issue of what position the person is sleeping in. Side sleepers seem to have more issues.
@RehabScience5 ай бұрын
Altering one’s sleeping position is definitely a variable worth considering. However, pain in this muscle does occur in back sleepers too, so side sleeping isn’t always the culprit.
