Northern Europe has really really slippery soil, so if you strayed out of the road even a bit, your car would skid all over the place. Mediterraneo had bouncy soil, so stray out of the road and you car would start bouncing and you would crash, which was very difficult in the really narrow roads in the end. Mystic Peaks and only had hard turns which made it pretty easy compared to the others. Anyone who disagrees played the game in wild setting.

The amount of money I spend at cyber cafe to play this game with my friends 😂 I used all of my pocket money of cafe playing this game, old mk games, midtown madness, gta 3, doom and wwe smack down. I say worth it my childhood was awesome.. we couldn’t even afford computers but still had luxury to enjoy this classic games with friends and unknown people hell half of the friends I made from that cafe 😂

Personally speaking, by comparison, NFS 3 was a step forward in its car mechanics and the weather-time system on tracks, but TBH the tracks and cars lineup was no comparison. I'd rather they just add the NFS 3 cars and tracks (with time and weather) to NFS 2 even with the same driving mechanics

Looking back, NFS 2 is so easy to play, only I didn't learn how to drive with the best line at curves until playing Gran Turismo. I had been just sticking to the inner line of a curve (but of coz, they don't have the same track grip and engine physics at the level of even just GT 5 back then)

split screen with half stroke mode for better fps on my 133 Mhz PC with my brother. this video remember me of all the things. lotus gt1 had the best handling, McLaren the fastest, the funniest was the semi truck or the jeep. I had the non se version. NFS1 had a more realistic car behavior, smoother, heavier, but in NFS II was more speed and damn this videos and pictures of the cars. NFS III was a whole new era of 3D

Same here. NFS2 SE was the first one I ever played from around 2000 to 2003, when my old pc broke. I got a PS2 for christmas in 2004 and bought NFSU (the first one) in summer 2005. Loved and played both of them to death

The best part of this game was the mode when you hade to start with a B-car (SLK or Z3) and win races to get $ to upgrade your car or buy a better one. I think the F1 was calld an AAA-Car xD I miss games like that.
