People act like the rich are evil beings who have nothing better to do then oppress everyone else. I swear they act like every bad thing in their lives is solely because of the rich. Personally, I am too busy dealing with my life and finances to worry about the lives and finances of others. So what if people are rich, if they worked for it, good for them. And what people don't want to talk about is how it is possible to go from poor to rich. It's hard, and there no gaurantees, but it is possible. @@truefanforum3273 I mean, sure, some of the anger is just a product of petty jealousy or a desire to blame someone else for one's lack of success, but a lot of it is more than justified depending on the rich person in question. The wealthy have a tendency to make god damn sure that they stay that way, one way to do that is to limit other people's opportunities, meaning that a major reason why it's so hard to go from poor to rich are the currently rich deliberately making it so, which I think is a fair reason to get angry if you are actively trying to become more successful and you're convinced you wouldn't do the same thing in their shoes. Then there are of course the issues of large corporations using child labor and knowingly ruining the environment as well as just generally treating their employees like dirt, also pretty good reasons to hate those that profit from it.

@Palmuu my thing here is that she did less to earn that wealth than those she’s pushing to be more heavily taxed. It’s hypocritical to say those who worked harder should give millions more to those who don’t have the work ethic while thinking she should be exempt My non-hypocritical suggestion for her is that if she thinks rich people need to be taxed more to help others, she should donate money or time to charitable causes instead of blowing it on a $2 million apartment. If someone claims they care so much, they should put their money where their mouth is. Because it’s easier and lazy to dictate what’s done with other people’s money

I can't say for certain about her specifically, but I will say that "tax the rich" doesn't mean you can't be rich. It just means that if you are, you should be taxed fairly and shouldn't be able to use your money to pay people to help you get out of paying taxes. The more money you make, the more money should be collected in taxes since that's how percentages work. That's it. It's not saying the rich should all die or give up their money. I'm talking about the phrase itself, not any specific people who use the phrase. Some are just freaking nuts who go on about hanging the billionaires of the world. They need to calm down
