my boy used to be in a 20 square foot cage, fleece, fresh veggies nearly every day (vet had me scale back due to gas problems) he lived to be 7 and a half years old and finally passed the week before thanksgiving. part of me watches these vids and wants to adopt a pig or two to give them the good life i know i can provide and the other part is still too hurt from loosing my hiccup. im happy to know that saskia makes sure these babies go to good homes when they get adopted. maybe one day i could adopt again but until then i'll just watch this wonderful place take care of them! maybe if they opened a branch in colorado i wouldnt have a choice but to go get a couple ;)

It's been half a year. I know when my sister lost her beloved Mama Kitty, she was having such a hard time getting past the grief. This reminds me of when I first adopted a family of 4 piggies. The previous owner was keeping them in a wire-floor bird cage, and when I gave their first meal of fresh veggies when I brought them home they ate like their lives depended on it, probably never got fresh food 🥺 They are all happy and healthy now and eat at a leisurely pace (as much as a piggy can at least haha) in a big, fleece bedded C&C palace with my herd of 8. I wish I could give all piggies a home!!

I have two girls, and recently after visting a big shop in my town, I decided to adopt one piggie that looked just like the first baby you showed, and he had scurvy and vitamin c Deficiency as well. I only realized that after taking him home and checking him properly, but I was already aware that their cage on that pet store was terrible. I told them about the situation, and they told me they would replace my little guy, named tourin. I told them I dont want to change him because hes mine and Ill keep him and help him, also told them to check every pig on that shop for scurvy. Now 2 months later and my boy is growing bigger, his fur is getting big and beautiful, he doenst have any more scurvys or any scars. Im so happy for him and my two girls.

During quarantine it became a little harder to launder my piggies fleece, our community laundry closed it's doors. So I washed them by hand and hung them to dry. Reminded me every time why it was necessary. So steeeenky. Couldn't imagine my girls having to live in filth. There is always a way to provide, even in tough times, if you give that extra caring.
