There was a good book about this case that I read. It described how he and his brother never much left their little yard of their home when growing up and instead of socializing with friends, they played ball with mommy in their yard, well into their sheltered teen years. Reminds me of Chris Watts’ mother- an annihilating narcissist who destroyed her child’s identity and made him people pleasing and expressionless. Those types cannot withstand having the masks of perfection pulled off because when they allowed themselves to show imperfections as children, they were likely subjected to frightening, narcissistic rage.
