Hey everyone! Just as a follow up, Doug and Venus' family have since reconciled. Them being unhelpful with the search, they hadn't come to accept that their son had done wrong, it can be hard to believe someone you love has done something horrible. Later, both families came to terms with what happened, and their relationship is good now, on positive terms. The actions they've shown in the videos here aren't representative of where they are today. Just to let you know!

So crazy how you posted this a day ago. I was going to say, I'd like to see his parents response after they acted like that. The denial of a child's actions, is what's wrong with so many children today. No consequences for their actions and no punishments.

@Deported addict that has nothing to do with Doug because His Daughter said he did make her touch him. He’s lucky Venus didn’t tell everyone he knew. What? You see this a lot, it seems. It's kind of like their critical thinking just short circuits and they can't see another way. Reminds me of those who commit suicide, where they think there's "no way out" and they end up doing the most permanent thing of all. I wish I could sit down with all these people, tell them to breathe and think about the consequences first... because I do believe the vast majority of people are good people.
@DerDrecksack873 жыл бұрын
@@butHomeisNowhere___ well if you see this a lot, it means that something is wrong with the legislation. Giving the kids to the mom by default and let the guy pay child support in 90% of the cases seems unbalanced. In todays age there is no place for a law from the 50s when most women stayed at home and had no income, there is no reason to make just one of both pay child support, both are adults and have to have a job, especially if ur family supports you it should be no problem. So many deaths could be avoided by reforming the law regarding divorces.
@radaka3 жыл бұрын
Same logic as the one's who don't want to get divorced because of their religion and how they will be looked at by family, friends, their church, etc. So they murder their spouse instead because being a widow/widower will look better lol

I have such conflicting feelings on Ricky , on one hand he totally went along with this guy's plan, but the real true anguish he shows on the stand is something you don't see from these killers, the people who kill their own family and spouses usually just look bored. I agree. He might have been young when it happened, but he wasn't THAT young, and he seems like a fairly intelligent guy. He should have reported Doug's intentions to the police, especially when it became obvious that Doug was going through with his plan. We've seen videos where people were approached to kill for money, and they went straight to the cops, cooperated, and saved a life. Ricky could have been a hero in this case, but instead he chose to support his friend. He's lucky he only got one year. If I'd been the judge, his sentence would have been longer.
