Richard Ayoade has a show called Travel man, where each episode he spends 48hrs in different locations. You must checkout the episode where he brings Chris O'Dowd to Vienna and they visit the snow globe museum. Absolutely hilarious 😂

The bit where Jen calls the French tech support guy is apparently based on a real life experience of Graham Linehan’s.

French? Well done on recognising a language or a specific accent 😂 ! It sounds like a hodgepodge of Flemish and Swedish to me

Here's a rule: Watch anything with Richard Ayoade. It's ALWAYS funny. Comedies, Panel Show Guest, Panel Show Host, his Travel Show. Everything.

My favorite moment was when Moss's default distraction is to just start panic kissing Roy :-) ( Oh...and "Vista!!!! We are all going to die!" )

So many fantastic moments in this episode. Probably one of the most quotable episodes in my friend group.

Clive Sinclair is a British inventor who was involved in early computing. He also invented an electric vehicle called a Sinclair C5

3:09 is so relatable. my mum asked me to setup a facebook account for her on her laptop and her desktop looked just like that-full of viruses and floating ads. i offered to install an antiviral software to fix it and she refused saying she likes how it is because she already knows where everything is. i installed it anyway for security. i think she's one of those who flourishes in an organized mess, their stuff may seem like chaos to an outsider but they know exactly where to find anything they need.

You’re right about Grand Designs. Worth a look at in the later series when the host has developed a very wry style of dealing with the more grandiose projects. Great show if you’re interested in sometimes crazy people building their dream homes. And not all succeeding.

Is Peep Show winning the vote for next comedy?
@nightowlnzab Жыл бұрын
Last I saw the poll closed with both Peep Show and What we do in the shadows tied at 40% each. Really wishing for Peep Show, given how much Neil aligns with David Mitchell - I think he'd love it.

The great Kevin Eldon played the French technical assistance guy. Had his own, never repeated late night BBC 2 comedy series a few years ago that was quite surreal.

Great playlist! I really enjoyed your analysis of the series. I'm not as harsh as you, but I do agree that certain jokes were in poor taste. The worst of all is the "I used to be a man" thing, because as far as I know no trans person would ever say something like that. Things like gender identity or sexual orientation are innate. People don't say "I used to be gay", it makes no sense. Also, the idea that a trans woman would be super strong or have manly hobbies are all incredibly trite. The rest of the gendered jokes, I was generally fine, though it did bother me that Douglas didn't get "punished" enough for his jackassery. He would insult a feminist, and then the feminist would sleep with him. It's kinda incel-ly. But the actor's portrayal of the character was phenomenal. His delivery of "Don't listen to her, the bitch is crazy." is one of my favourites in the entire show.
