And not just a Swedish vocalist, like Elize's KZbin channel describes her, a Swedish-Finnish vocalist: one quater Finnish heritance. And nowadays she is well connected to Finnish metal circles as she is one of the regular Raskasta Joulua tour performers. IMHO key (Christmas) component of that tour, if Elize wouldn't be there, it just wouldn't be the same. Yeah, what luck that Elize was there in Denver! It was good sport of her and Alissa to do it. Nemo apparently was her favorite Nightwish song to sing, but surely knew at least superficially many other NW songs too but needed the lyrics notes. An alternate universe I'd like to see them choosing Elize after Tarja, but I also love Anette's input a lot, wouldn't give her era away. Maybe it was a blessing to ELize, as Tarja's fans were not gonna be happy with anyone else but her. And Nightwish was very hard touring (and partying) band, they might have ruined Elize. The Nemo demo is quite nice (yes her vocals should have better audible), and she did get among the finalists they were considering.

A bit late to the party, but agreed Elize did well both in the demo and on that show. We'll never know what could have happened, had she been chosen instead of Anette. In any case, she is doing really well with Amaranthe.

I doubt there was anything sudden Floor coming to replace Anette. I think she knew it at leas since the band had argument with Anette about the replacement siger for the Australian tour, as Anette would be too pregnant to sing that: they insisted back then that Floor should be the replacement, so for sure they had been already in talks with her.

Don't get me wrong, with Anette they did 2 really beatiful albums, and now we have Floor and couldn't be better, I'm super happy of what NW is today. But, after listening to this, I have a question I need to do....why they didn't hired her? I really not understand, she is amazing.

I don't know, but someone said they thought she was too young to take the pressure being compared to Tarja.

Yes, in an interview with Elize she said that it was due to her inexperience at the time because she was very young back in 2006.

Denver Debacle.... OK, go for it! The 'Please Learn the Set List in 48 hours" maybe should come first! I so wish the "Set List" vid was in English! I listen along at work, not watch actively! I miss out on everything LOL USA NEEDS! Nighwish! So very few live shows! American music SUCKS! Well, Alice Cooper is our "King Diamond"! So not a total loss!
